Just back from BWV!!

I am on the "low side" now as the realization has hit that I am back in reality!! However, I did have a great trip at BWV. I was lucky enough to get a standard view 1 bedroom 7 months out and it was ready at check-in!! I had a LONG walk though but it did help to stretch out the legs everyday!! LOL!! The resort was in deceny condition but the room had a few places that needed some touch up paint work. They are working on the siding outside on the pool side right now. Attended the member meeting and BCV is selling well. Predict that HHI will sell out by the end of the year. Didn't give us any news on the plans for future DVC developments though.

I visited the BCV models and the color scheme looks awesome. I cannot wait to try out that resort one day. Couldn't see much from the outside of BCV but I did see a few workers as I rode the bus by one day.

It was hot and only a little rain. Crowds were managable even at MGM when they had the Star Wars celebration on Friday. I was lucky enough to wander over and get some great pictures and a few nice pins too. No early morning hangup call on check out or the mysterious knocking on the door at 8 am!! I think all the complaining has helped that situation!!

Now I have to plan my next trip!!

Glad to hear you had a great trip! I know that "low" feeling - just got home a week ago Friday. Last week was really depressing trying to catch up at work. Best cure - start planning the next trip! I got our airline tickets for December last Wednesday and booked an extra night at CBR (Friday night, staying rest of week at BWV).

We had the knock on the door at OKW even though I had a "do not disturb" sign out (handwritten because one was not provided). It wasn't "mysterious" because I answered it and she was there! Told her we weren't leaving until 11:00am and pointed to the sign. When we left at almost exactly 11:00am there she was standing outside! I guess another minute, she would have sent security

That's great to hear because I was wondering if there way anywhere to walk at WDW.

Seriously, glad to hear you had a wonderful trip. At least we can console ourselves by knowing that we will be going back!

What room # did you have? We had a 2 bedroom std vw on the 4th floor. Had to get a new coffee pot and have the door fixed on the tv cabinet. Other than that everything was fine.

NJmouse, I had 1109 on the 1st floor all the way towards the back, but not quite the end!! There are people who had to walk a little bit more than me. The long walk did feel good at the end of the day even if I was tired after walking back from EPCOT and MGM. It was quiet down there too which was refreshing!! I had a bunch of ducks walk up and down the area every morning so I watched the babies following their mom looking for food in the grass.

We were in 4129 & 4131 -- 3 rooms from the end!! We saw those ducklings they were really cute. The people below us were feeding them too! We didn't have any knocks or mysterious wake up calls. We did have a mysterious dinner reminder for Tuesday nite. The call came in at 7:45 for a dinner at the King James room at 8, have no clue what that was about. We were at the Hoop-dee-doo at that time.

We also just got back sunday had a great trip. Just like NJmouse we too had a call about dinner in the king james room. I called the operator and told her about it figuring somebody else did"nt get their invitation but she had no clue what I was talking about. We also had a 1 bedroom for the first time and it was great we had room 5126 on the very end. We could see fantasmic and illuminations from our balcony at the same time.

watch those ducks,,,,, I was in 1107 and they found us friendly enough and came right into the room!

wdw4us I am LOL at that!! Funny you say this happened as I was worried about that very thing happening so I made sure to shut the door behind me when I went outside. I did think to myself that there was "no way a duckling would want to stay in a BWV room" but I guess you just proved me wrong. I wonder when they booked their room and how the front desk mixed up putting both of you in the same room!!

NJMouse, It looks like we were recently neighbours, we just got back this past Friday from 2 weeks at BWV and we stayed in rooms 4127 & 4125.

We also had a great time.....and today being my first day back at work was also a "low day"!

I'm working on our December trip and hopefully we can get down for a week in August.......not too sure I can wait until December!

Wasn't the weather amazing!!! I actually saw a few snowflakes yesterday....AGHHHHHH!!!

I recently heard another poster describe the return to reality as "post parkum depression". I think it fits perfectly!
Glad to hear BWV is as magical as ever---we'll be there in 4 days!

Hmmm... When we checked out on May 9, we did have a knock on the door at 8:00. With the dryer and the dishwasher running, I didn't hear it until she tried to come in. We had the extra lock on, so when she couldn't open the door, she went away. When we did leave, about 2 hours later, I saw a housekeeping CM in the hall and told her that if she was the one who knocked at 8:00, that we were leaving, and that she could clean the room now. The CM we spoke to said that she was working on a special project, but that she would tell the one who would clean it.

The last few times we've stayed at BWV, there was EE, so we were out in the parks at 8:00, returning by 11:00 to check out, so we might have missed the knock or phone call.
