Just back from BWV ;-)

Hi all, back from our first DVC stay. Boardwalk villas 1BR boardwalk view, room 5041.
Room was in great shape, previous occupants left a bottle of wine in fridge even. Great time had by all. We are ruined for a regular hotel room now.

Welcome back! Our very first stay in DVC was a Boardwalk View and I knew then and there we had made the right choice buying into DVC. We usually book a standard view now but every once in a while will splurge on that boardwalk view. Love it!

Hey javamom, I have a question....the 1 BR villa, is there also just 1 bathroom? Is it IN the bedroom? In other words, if it is IN the bedroom, that person gets disturbed by others using it? I ask because I'll be the one on the pull out? Please let me know. Thanks!!

I'm not Javamom, but the bathroom (yes, there is only 1 in a 1BR villa) is accessible from the main area as well as the sink/jacuzzi area off the Master BR. There are 2 entries so you should be able to access the shower/toilet area without disturbing the occupants in the MBR.

I stayed in that room at the end of March-beginning of April.

Funny thing is that we had bought a bottle of wine on our way over to the villa so that we could sip some while watching Illuminations from the balcony (given that my room request was honored). When we went to put our bottle away, there was already a bottle in there. So, we decided to carry on the tradition, and left our bottle for the next occupant!

The bathroom is split into 2 rooms. The shower, toilet, and a sink are in one room which is accessible from the hall and from the next room,

which has the jacuzzi tub and another large sink vanity area. There are large shutters above the tub which open to the master bedroom.

This room also has a large walk-in closet complete with wall safe, iron, and ironing board. Sorry, no picture.


You will not be disturbed if someone needs to use the restroom in the middle of the night.

Same thing happened to us! I was on the fence as to whether we made the right decision, then walked into room 5001, took one look at the room and that view and I was sold. Two add-ons later, still happy.

We just got back from a 2 BDRM stay at VWL. Wow! I know what you mean about being spoiled for a "regular" hotel room.

However, one thing about the split bathroom I DIDN'T like. The jacuzzi/vanity/walk-in closet portion is open to the bedroom. So you can't be in that portion with the lights on (or enjoying the jacuzzi) without bothering the person in the bedroom.

Otherwise, pure heaven.

We're considering an add-on at BWV just so we can get the BW view every now and then!!!

That is an awesome view. Hopefully we can secure a ressie at the 7 month mark on a future trip.
