We returned about an hour ago from our five days in Orlando. It was a fantastic week - the weather was fabulous!

We stayed three nights at the Boardwalk Inn. It is our new favorite. We had a lovely standard view room. We had a full balcony, day bed, two queens and a view of the courtyard - Room # 3317

We loved the theming of the hotel and the location can't be beat. The Boardwalk is alive at night with lots of activity. We stayed at the Beach Club a couple of years ago, but we liked the BWI even more.

If anyone has any questions, I will try to answer.

We booked BWI when we couldn't get any of our favorites, but got a great rate there. Very nice digs indeed. It was our first Epcot resort and we loved being in that location. :earsboy:

Glad you a good time!

How (what transportation) and when (what time of day) did you visit Epcot and MGM? Any recommendations for a group of 13?

It's an easy walk to Epcot and we usually walk to MGM also. We use the boat transportation when coming home from MGM, since we're usually so tired. Make sure you take advantage of the EMH evening hours, they were a blast.

Glad you liked our favorite resort! :)

Sounds like you had a wonderful stay! The Boardwalk is a great resort!

We have rented a 1bdrm for early Dec at the villas. how was the pool area? My girls love to swim.

When you walk to Epcot from BWV, where is the exit from the villas? Do you walk through the lobby area, or is there a door further down the boardwalk? It seems like such a long way from BWV to Epcot, so I've always leaned towards BC stays...

The lifts from Boardwalk Villas let out between the Fitness Club and the Main Pool.

The lift from Boardwalk Inn lets out near the stairs down from the upper lobby entrance, facing onto the lawn at the back of Flying Fish.

Did you have a view of Illuminations from your room? :earsgirl:

We could not see Illuminations from our room. At first we thought we might be able to see them because we could see Spaceship Earth and the Epcot sign, but we had to go down to the Boardwalk to see the fireworks.

It is a beautiful resort and I hope to return some day.

Glad you had a good time. We just stayed there for the first time in Jan and loved it! I think it's my new favorite.
