Just back from Boardwalk villas part 2...

Member services was wonderful and helpful regarding my situation. My points are in holding which is the best I can expect in this situation.
Because I was staying close to the phones. I spent The day at the Boardwalk. We had a wonderful time. doing Boardwalk activities. We made great use of Community hall. The kids made t-Shirts, necklaces we swam and saw a dive in Movie. We had a great low key day.

My DH arrived late that evening and we did MGM and MVMCP the next day. The boys were tall enough finally for Star Tours we did it about 6 times...MVMCP was very crowded on Tuesday PM. I was shocked!!! Wednsday we did a little bit of everything... Dh left at Suppertime. Thursday MY dd was coming down at night.. My mom called and was coming back. It seems my Aunts demise was a side effect of too much CHEMO combined with picking up an infection.. So she is rebounding still very sick, But not dieing as we thought on Monday.

So remember I had canceled all the accomadations..... Then I scrambled again and rebooked everything. There were no rooms at teh INN so to speak. So To the rescue came my CM friend, who was able to book a CM rate at AKL for me.

Highlights of the trip..
seeing the Fireworks from the balcony each night.
Star tours with the twins...
Sci Fi diner for lunch.
An illuminations desset party with fellow disers.... ( Thanks ZURGSWIFE and crew) Nothing like front row seats for Illuminations!
Fantasmic with the dining package. again front row seats for that! Great show.
Community hall activities.

Low lights Family drama.. All the calls to CRO, member services, the 200 dollar cell phone bill I am going to have! The horrible case of swimmers ear I came home with!

And I must mention, I was able to secure a last minute Limo trip to the airport, with Information secured from Ducklite on these Boards. She had mentioned Jimmy from golden Limo. He was early, efficent, and a real sweetheart. I would not hesitate to use him again. Thanks Ann...

I'm glad I read your part 2 before responding. It sounds like things turned out as well as you could possibly hope considering everything that went on.

You need a vacation to recover from your vacation.

Sorry to read about your Aunt's illness, but glad she will be better for the time being. Great the the CM was able to help you out with booking your Mom at AKL. I'm sure she needed some decompression time after the crisis with you Aunt. Glad your trip turned out OK.

I'm glad things worked out for you. I had to laugh though when I read that making t-shirts was a trip highlight for your kids. My dd, 11, says that was one of her favorite things too!! We were at BWV over Thanksgiving and dd was always asking to go to Community Hall and check it out. Didn't want to miss a thing.

I hope you and your aunt are feeling better. My sister always said that riding the elevators was the most fun on any vacation we took. I'm glad you did have such a nice time.
