Welcome to the DISboards! We'll be at the villas side shortly. Were they having any entertainment out on the Boardwalk at night? If so around what time?

we'll be there in dec & have a concierge deluxe room reserved-cant wait.
is there an age limit on slide/pool? my son will be 5 at the time we go.

We stayed at the Boardwalk last summer. It was a family gathering, we had 4 rooms. One was garden view, two were boardwalk view, one a 2 bedroom villa--pool view. The garden view room was way too far from the lobby and the rest of our rooms. The boardwalk views were enjoyed, guests said they could see fireworks pretty well. The villa was in a great location...right off the lobby, close to elevators. The maid service was great for all the rooms. Complaints. Wish they had 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom of the villa instead of one bed and a sleeper sofa. Even the kids woke up with sore backs. Also, Boardwalk was always the first pick up(having to stop numerous times at all the other resorts)to go anywhere, and the last drop off(again, numerous stops before getting back to the resort. Eating was no problem, numerous eating places along the boardwalk, then you had all the nearby resorts, Epcot, MGM. Our two best picks were BlueOzz at the Swan(lol, know i didnt spell that one right) and Brown Derby at MGM. My 14 yro wants to go back pretty much just for the Brown Derbys chicken noodle dish<G>. They really didnt have a whole lot going on on the Boardwalk during our stay. One night a magician, another was some sort of live bands, it was late, we had to leave early the next morning, so skipped it. This was just our second stay at Disney, our first was at the Contemporary. While we enjoyed both, you just cant beat the Epcot locations. We are planning another May vacation, cant decide between BW again, or trying BC. Any advice from those that have done both?

I am going to BW in March and I would like to get more info on rooms and locations. I have a standard room booked, but I would like to be close or semi close to the themed pool and I would like to have a balcony. Do all rooms have a balcony?

Are you staying in the Inn or Villas? If you are in the Villas I can't help out as I've only been in the Inn. On the Inn side you only have the quiet pool, the circus/clown themed pool is on the villas side. You do not have to go thru the lobby to get there (although you can). We always go to the BW level and walk across the courtyard and thru the tunnel by the arcade and fitness club to access the pool. We did not find this to be a problem. On the Inn side I think all the rooms have a balcony of some size. Both times we had a regular sized balcony with room for a small table and 2 chairs. One time we had a BW view over the back end of Flying Fish and last time we were upgraded from a standard view to a partial BW view room that was over the Bellview Lounge area.

The BWI is a lovely resort, we really enjoyed both our stays there, I hope you will too! :sunny:

We are staying in the inn. I didn't know BW had a tunnel. I need to find a map of BW that I can actually see.

Thanks for the info.

I call it a tunnel but it is sort of a walk thru between the shops and fitness club on ground level outside.

The inn is so nice, and the CMs there are really friendly and nice too. Our kids loved the lifeguards at the pool!

Would love to know if there is any renovations or rehab work going on at the BWI and the Boardwalk Area? We will be there in early February and looking forward to a great trip! This will be our 3rd stay at the BWI.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip! :)
