We stayed at the Boardwalk last summer. It was a family gathering, we had 4 rooms. One was garden view, two were boardwalk view, one a 2 bedroom villa--pool view. The garden view room was way too far from the lobby and the rest of our rooms. The boardwalk views were enjoyed, guests said they could see fireworks pretty well. The villa was in a great location...right off the lobby, close to elevators. The maid service was great for all the rooms. Complaints. Wish they had 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom of the villa instead of one bed and a sleeper sofa. Even the kids woke up with sore backs. Also, Boardwalk was always the first pick up(having to stop numerous times at all the other resorts)to go anywhere, and the last drop off(again, numerous stops before getting back to the resort. Eating was no problem, numerous eating places along the boardwalk, then you had all the nearby resorts, Epcot, MGM. Our two best picks were BlueOzz at the Swan(lol, know i didnt spell that one right) and Brown Derby at MGM. My 14 yro wants to go back pretty much just for the Brown Derbys chicken noodle dish<G>. They really didnt have a whole lot going on on the Boardwalk during our stay. One night a magician, another was some sort of live bands, it was late, we had to leave early the next morning, so skipped it. This was just our second stay at Disney, our first was at the Contemporary. While we enjoyed both, you just cant beat the Epcot locations. We are planning another May vacation, cant decide between BW again, or trying BC. Any advice from those that have done both?
