Hello All
We Just Got back on Saturday and had a really good time at the world and loved Bay Lake Tower’s. We have two daughters, Carli 15 and Jodie 11. We all knew that the room would be small before arriving, so it wasn’t a big deal when we arrived. Four in the studio was pushing it but we all managed and no one really complained. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the wash basin was in the galley kitchen and you have to open and close the bathroom door before washing your hands. I would suggest bringing a small bottle of disinfectant to spray on the bathroom door handle. Carli said that the pull out sofa bed was a bit hard but by the end of the day we were so tired the Girls could have slept on a concrete mattress. The kitchen was stocked with plastic utensils and paper plates so you might want to bring some real utensils. The room was really nice and the clock radio had a Ipod/ Iphone dock. I tried to charge my Iphone with it but it charged really slow so I ended up using my own charger. I had requested a room high in the tower and close to the elevator. Our room was on the 6th floor and right next to the elevator. It was very quiet and I couldn’t hear the elevator at all. The water parade and the fireworks were very loud and you could hear them easily from the room. We watched the fireworks from the 16th floor and in my opinion it was the best place in the whole world. You need your room key in the elevator to get there. I have read on the Web that only members are allowed their but the sign on the elevator states members and their guest are allowed. There is a laundry room and a community hall on the first floor. The washers and dryers are free to use but you will need your room key to enter. The walk to the Contemporary is very short. All in all the BLT was our favorite DVC resort but the Beach Club was a close second mainly due to its location. The food at the Contempo Café is really good, much better than the parks. We all took the Monorail over to the Poly and ate at Captain Cooks. The food and the Dole Whips are really good their.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
