Here's a quick report -
Travelers - My family (me, DH, DD12, DS8, DS8), my cousin, her DD11, neighbors (DW, DH, DD12, DS10, DS6)
We flew down on Tues. afternoon from BWI. It was our 1st time using ME. This worked fine but next time I would pick up our luggage before getting on the bus unless we were planning to go straight to the parks. This trip we arrived late enough at the BC that our room would be ready so having our luggage with us would have been nice.
Check-in was a little crazy because 2 people were "earning their ears" so everything took longer. Our group had 3 studios. We checked out our room and we were not thrilled with getting a handicap room. The bathroom floor would be a mess with the shower situation and 2 young boys. I asked if we had any other options. They were very helpful and understanding. We were able to move the next day to a room directly across from my cousin! This was perfect because my DD was staying in her room. If anyone is interested, rooms 340 & 339 are two studios across from each other. Our neighbors were in 319? near the elevator. The rooms were good. The sleeper sofas all seemed to be in bad shape this trip. We have used the sofas every trip and sometimes they are fine, other times they are awful! Our room seemed to have the best one.
We had a great time. Here are a few general comments -
1) EPCOT did not have enough open. Test Track and the Body were closed. This really limited the number of rides making some lines pretty long.
2) No Beavertails! - We were so disappointed that beavertails were gone.
3) We all loved Soarin. Very fun.
4) No bus dispatcher at BC. On the Early morning day for MK there were no early busses. 4 AK busses came but not MK. We waited over 1/2 hour along with many others for a bus. We were told that the hotel should have had someone at the stop.
5) We liked the changes to the BC store.
6) AK always feels crowded. The lines were not that long but it still feels crowded. I can't imagine what that park feels like in the summer!
7) The extra evening hours were the busiest times. We did not have great luck with this.
If you have any questions, let me know.
