Hi all,
We just returned from a wonderful nine-night trip to the World. We stayed the first four nights at BCV and the last five at SSR, all in a one-bedroom. It was our first time at both resorts, and we were very happy with them.
We had a first-floor villa at BCV, overlooking the pool area. It was great to walk right out the patio door to the pool. The room was in good shape, a couple minor issues that were addressed very promptly. The CMs were wonderful.
Then we had originally booked a studio at SSR on cash for the weekend when they were offering 40% off, so it was about $175/night. When we checked in we were informed we had been upgraded to a 1-BR for our entire stay!
However, the room was in Carousel, and with two kids who love to swim I didn't want to be out there. I said if that meant we were back to the studio, that was fine. The CM spoke with the manager and we were put in a 1-BR in the Grandstand for our entire stay! We were beyond thrilled. It was a second-floor room right next to the bus stop, just a short walk to the pool. I was pleasantly surprised how short the walk was to the main area, and the DTD walk wasn't bad either.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I have stayed on the 1st floor at the BCV by the pool before and agree, it is a great location.
