Well here is that terrible feeling you get when you're back home & write how your trip was:

BEACH CLUB GREETING

Art the Greeter was back in full swing with a smile wider than I-95. Gave my DS - 12 a hug and we wished him well. He said while he was in the hospital other patients would look at him with his smile and state "Hey - he should not be here - that bed should be reserved for someone that is sick!!"

REGISTRATION

No one at the front desk when we walked in about 1:30pm on 4/15. Waited about 5 minutes, gave up and walked to BCV where the new registration group happily signed us in but could not assign a room because (you guessed it) they have to call the Beach Club front desk to get a room number. They could not reach the front desk for about 15 minutes.

ROOM

Well prepared and clean (329 - garden view). Only three things - broken floor lamp, no internet cable and a slow draining sink, all of which were taken care of immediately when we called. Noticed they are now providing a brochure on the beds, linens and bath products for sale. They are putting on new roof tiles on BC and are working on the side of the building - all freshly painted - looks great!

SAB

Since it was cold in the beginning of the week (high 60's low 70's ) no one really at the pool. By Friday temp was back up to 80 and you just could not get in the pool without bumping into someone - and definitely not enough lounge chairs. My DS who loves the pool would not go on the slide or stay in the pool because he kept getting bumped by others.

PARKS

Unbelievably crowded!! On the first day we only got in 3 rides in Epcot. At 9:20am, Soaring had an 80 minute wait and Fast Pass has us returning at about 5pm - or about 8+hours later!! This was Spring Break for CT and MA.

Buzz Lightyear ride - DS managed to score 999,999 points - the max on the ride since he knows where all the 100,000 point targets are! Highlight of his trip!!

RESTAURANTS

ESPN Club - most fun we have ever had with live announcers. Decent food. 7 out of 10. Great Red Sox and Yankees discussion - half and half the crowd.

Mama Melrose - Worst Spagetti sauce I've ever had 2 out of 10

Yak & Yetti - Outdoors - OK Sweet & Sour Pork but the Chicken Fried Rice was tasteless - 4 out of 10.

Beaches & Cream - 6 out of 10 for hamburgers, 9 out of 10 for Strawberry Short Cake.

Rain Forest Cafe - 7 out of 10 for burgers, 8 out of 10 for kid friendly environment - 3 out of 10 for value ($85 for three hamburgers & drinks)

Boardwalk Bakery - 25 in line in the morning - we gave up waiting.

Total food cost of $364 for three of us for five days.

NEW CONTEMPORARY BUILDING

Took some pics from the WDW Ferry - seems about 12 stories now and they are adding what looks like two foot wide white strips at each of the lower 6 floor levels. Have not figured out how to attach a pic. The walkway supports seem almost 9 stories high themselves.

Good part of all of this is that we have to go back in June for a business meeting for 6 days. Made it much easier to leave this time.

Hi, glad you had a nice time. I really hope you can post the pictures!! I will be there in a few weeks and I hope its not as crowded. Did you eat at the table service or counter service at Y&Y? I love the table service. You did great on food prices!!!

We ordered at the counter and sat outside - way too crowded to sit inside.

Difficult to give it a high grade since we have a top rated asian restaurant nearby our home.

Nice report. Thanks.

I wonder if they are installing interstitial spaces on the CR tower for plumbing, etc?

Glad you had a great time. Boy, with all the talk about a bad economy Disney seems to be busier and busier.
Sorry Broadwalk bakery was so busy, it's usually a place I love to hit in the morning.

Interstitial - is that a fancy word for Hidden Mickey???:goodvibes

What I saw went around the whole floor (horizontally) about 1 foot above and below each floor, like a white band going round the building on each of the bottom six floors. I did not bother to ask any of the CMs about it.

Thanks for the TR. We will be at BWV for 1st time a couple of weeks. Glad to hear the rooms are being well maintained. Heard alot about that bakery and can't wait to try it.

Hi coprcomp, I looked at you siggy and noticed you are a March and April vivistor. We are planning to go March 22-29 next year. What are your experiences between March and Arpil?
Thanks

Two years ago the Town changed Spring Break from March to April. It frankly was much more crowded in March as the week we went was also Spring Break for Texas and all of Canada. April is a little less crowded but if you know how to plan the park visits, you can get through them OK. Also Easter wil not be in March next year so it should be a little less crowded.

We happened to screw up the Epcot park visit because we were a little late getting up. You need to be there right at 9am to get onto Soaring first thing.

What were the dates of your trip?

April 15 - 20 - We take off 10 days but visit my mother in Boca Raton the first 4 days and she fills containers with food that we can bring up to Disney. Problem is that I eat both her food AND the dinners in Disney. Therefore I'm five pounds heavier now. Its the only time of the year that I eat like a pig so I have a lot of running to do.

Very Funny!:rotfl:

Totally OT...but where do you find the list of 100,000 point places on Buzz?

Well I can tell you that in the first room there is a large robot to the left. Hit his left hand - 100,000

In the next room At the top of the volcano hit that - at least 25,000 up to 100,000 depending upon your aim.

In the next room hit Zurg's target at the bottom of his ship - 100,000 - my son got stuck there and got 500,000 just waiting for the ride to start. If you hit these multiple times the scores add up. There are other 25,000 targets but if you go online and ask for Buzz Lightyear targets you will get a more informational list.

Just as you pass the big robot in the first room, look up. There is a target on the ceiling that is worth 100,000 points.
