We are back from our 9 day trip to the World and it was so fun. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! Although, I thought early December was supposed to be low on crowds, I thought it was much busier compared to our usual February trips.
We tried out a 2 bedroom at BCV on the 4th floor and it was unreal. Pictures I have seen of this resort cannot compare to what it is like in person The whole theming, location, pool, was perfect for us. We had planned to stay off site a few days and had booked with HotelKindgom and they screwed up our ressies and Disney had these villas available (amazingly) with an AP discount I might add.
We still paid a lot so for the next trip we plan to rent points and go back. Anyone know what that smell is of BCV? In the different areas of the villas section? Is it fresh paint or the wood? I loved it! We seen two alligators in that area by the quiet pool and I have pictures to prove it. Big turtles and fish were in it also. I loved that we could walk to MGM, Epcot the Boardwalk area. The kids had their faces painted, we ate at Flying Fish (the BEST) and rented a pontoon and The Breathless. We spent two days at the kiddie pool section and it was just great for little kids.
The only thing we did have to call maintainence to fix the latches on the balcony doors, we have 3 young kids and we were nervous about them sneaking out. And the DVD player was broke so they had to bring in a new one. And also they installed lightbulbs in the balcony. Actually, 90% of the balcony lights were burnt out now that I think of it. We loved the free DVD rentals from the giftshop. Right after we checked out we realized we forgot some new cups for the kids in the dishwasher and they told us the maid already tossed them. And we also forgot to unplug our charger from the wall for our digital video camera and of course the room was occupied so they couldn't check. I will be bummed if we have to buy a new one. We will call tomorrow and see if they found it.
The FW cabins we stay at every trip and there is just so much too do at this resort we love it. We have a cabin at home so it reminds us so much of back home - except warmer.
We rented a golf cart to zip around in and did the petting zoo, the kids rode the horses, we did the campfire and movie and electric water parade and we ate at Trail's End a lot.
We are looking forward to planning for our next trip.
