Just Back From Awards Evening

Hi Guys

Just had to pop on, as I am fit to burst with pride, Vicki did indeed win an award, she won Excellence In The Field Of Photography.

She and I are both pleased as punch

The Photo below is not of the best quality as I have scanned it from the Awards Programme, but I did take some great shots on the night of the presentation, which I will share with you in due course.

Many Many Thanks to you all for the congratulations, I have just shown Vicki all these posts and she is thrilled to bits. As you may know she is working with me on work experience this week and next and my collegues at work have all made a real fuss of her today, she was absolutly convinced she was nominated for her drum playing, and when the musical awards came and went, she looked at me and said "Maybe they have made a mistake sending me an invataion, I dont think I am very good at anything else", so when the nominations came up for the photography award and her name was annouced as the winner I really thought she was going to faint, the colour drained from her face and I had to practically stand her up to go and collect her award, she shook like a leaf.

She was presented with a School Oscar, a certificate, £25 in book tokens,and whilst she was walking to the stage and collected her prize, they were showing footage of her Photography work on a big screen, behind her.

I of course was like the proud mother hen, clapping and cheering and probably making a complete fool of myself.

In fairness to the school they had done a great job, candels on the tables, drinks and nibbles etc.

Move over David Bailey, my daughters right behind you
