Just got back this afternoon from a 2 night stay. I was supposed to stay through tomorrow so you might be able to see where this report is headed.
First off, I can not say enough about the staff at ASMusic. From the girl who checked me in to the cashier in the food court, they were all wonderful!
I got to the resort at about 12:30 Sunday afternoon. There was no line at check in, which is always nice. Like I said, the girl at check in was great. I had put a request in for 3rd floor, because I was travelling alone and I felt safer that way. Well she gets out the map, and trust me, I know what's coming. I am always in the farthest possible room. Never fails, and usually I don't care.
Well, you guessed it. I was in Country Inn, all the way at the back. I wasn't going to say anything but I asked if there was anything closer. She was great and found me something in Jazz Inn, which is so much closer to the main builiding. This room was on the second floor, which was fine by me.
The whole check in process was quick and pleasant. I drove around to Jazz Inn 9, walked upstairs, and found my room. The room was very clean, no dust, nothing on the floor, bathroom was immaculate.
I headed out to EPCOT and the bus came within 5 minutes. Had a pleasant day and came back to the room exhausted. Took a shower and got into bed, ready to pass out. Well this is where the problems started. I couldn't get any sleep because I could hear EVERYTHING!!! The people outside the room, the people in the room next door. I think in the middle of the night they were doing something outside, cause I could hear vans starting up and stopping and maintenance men on their walkie talkies.
Very early in the morning, I could hear all the other guests talking outside the room and my neighbors phone ringing. I have to think that they walls are paper thin.
I decided to give it another shot last night but I also wasn't able to get any sleep. I was tired when I woke up this morning and decided to check out early. I thought about going to Magic Kingdom but I was afraid I'd be too tired to drive home so I headed right out. I made it home in good time and took a very long nap.
This was not my first stay at the value resorts. I stayed at POP in May and I think it was quieter there, to be honest. I have previously stayed at the various All Stars about 6 times, but I don't think I'll be back.
Just wanted to share my experience.
