I just wanted to share with everyone my great experience at ASMu. I have to admit that I was really nervous booking here because I was not happy with Pop, but boy am I happy I did. There are 5 of us, Me DH DS 12 DD7 DS2 (so we can still stay in a standard room) we checked in at 8:30 am and went to the park, at 2:30 PM I called the number that they told me to call, and my room was ready room# 1421 calypso 1 first floor corner room, how lucky, so close to everything:cool1: My room was a refurbished one very cute. Now because we have a 2 year old we only did half days in the park and enjoyed the pool every day. They had so many activities for the older kids it was great fun watching them enjoying the games and trivia oh yeah and bingo. I really was sceptically before I arrived but I would never hesitate to stay here again. One last thing the buses where great.

glad you had a great time! about the buses, did you have to share with the rest of the all stars?

We did share the buses sometimes I think at all the parks but MK and only at leaving did we share. We only did half days so when we left it was never at a peak time (never stayed for fireworks:sad1: ) But I only had to stand once with the baby which is my only complaint of the trip people not having a toddler sit on their lap when parents with small children had to stand. (not only for my self but for other families as well, there where times I had 2 of my kids sitting on my lap so others could sit)

How did you like the room decor ? and how was the pool ? we are staying there for week 1 of our 2 week vacation.

I'm so glad you decided to comment on your trip! We're just about in the same boat as you... stayed at Pop, wasn't overally happy with our stay (but did realize the values were "ok" lol) and decided to book ASmu for Sept. I was so pleased to see this!

Did you book a preferred room... or were you just placed in Calypso? We've book preferred so I was curious as to your thoughts on that location. How short of a walk was it to the main building and pool?

Would you stay there again and did you have a car to use? Are there "queues" for the bus stops like at Pop? How was the food court... better or worse then Pop?

Ok I've asked enough.. lol.. sorry.

We did not have preferred, just got lucky :goodvibes . The walk to the main building was probably 40 yards, and the buses were right on the other side of the main building. The main pool was maybe 20 yards from our door, we were in the middle of the building, on the first floor.

The food court was very clean, and the CM's were very nice. They even opened the coffee line ten minutes early for my wife and I:cool1: :cool1: . The food court did not have as much selection as Pop's did.

We did have a car because we stayed at Pop last year and found the bus service horrible (my own opinion), so I insisted on driving down this year if we were going to stay at a value. We never used the car:goodvibes . The buses seemed less busy than pop, and only one time did we wait for a bus longer than 7-10 minutes. We did share bus's with the other values, but it seemed that only mid day, when we left around 1-2 o'clock, and then returning around 4-5 o'clock, usually share with AS Sports only.

We would absolutely stay here again, in fact that is why we decided to go and experience this resort, our next trip to WDW, we are going to need a bigger room, we are thinking of the family rooms, seeing how our 2 year old will no longer be in a crib.

Oh and one last thing the pool was nice, and never seemed over crowded but at times it did get busy. I didn't realize my DH didn't answer that Question for Magicmouse2

We were there earlier this month - and yes, there are queues for the buses, but overall service was great. We waited maybe 10 minutes at the longest, and the buses during peak times were direct from the park to ASMu. We did one off peak trip back from MGM and stopped at the other All Star properties but not a big deal. We did have a couple really crowded rides but we stayed for Wishes - and we expected it.

Thanks for the info!!!!:thumbsup2

I'm looking more and more forward to our August trip!!! :yay:

We have stayed at POP twice and, for us, the HUGE WORDS all over the buildings drove us INSANE!!! :headache: I sure like the look of the All Star exterior sooo much better and with the pics of the new rooms at Music now even the INSIDE looks like it will beat POP hands down!!! :cheer2:

I'm glad you had a good expereince! I'm the Queen of Value Resorts and ASMUsic is my hands down favorite.

Thanks again for posting. We are spending the first day of our vacation there before transferring to OKW. It will be our first time in a value, and I am looking forward to trying it out!

Thanks for the review! DH and I are going for an adult only trip Jan/Feb 08 and I'm thinking of ASMu, PORS,or CR. I'm in the air about how much $$ I want to spend as this would be the second trip in less than 5 months. ASMu has always appealled to me for some reason and would cut costs but I'm concerned about the Cheerleader competitions during this time of year. We do want to get some rest while we're there.

i wish we were there right now................we are hoping to go in oct. into nov. we are not sure though. my dd and baby grandson are down in alabama, son in law is in the army. so if we can , we will be going around halloween.i cant wait. we have not been at this time of the year.
