Just got back after 9 nights at ASMo, from the time we checked in till check out it was a wonderful stay.

We were in Building 10 Toy Story, 2nd floor, the CM's were all very friendly and helpful, we got all our requests including late check out, housekeeping were great, left DS's toys arranged different ways every day, food court good.

Any questions? fire away

Did you like the 2nd floor? I am thinking of requesting ground floor. Did you fax your requet to get the toy story building? I am thinking of paying for fantasia 8. It looks like this is fairly close to toy story, which is what I want but afraid I would not get it. Were you close to the playground and a parking lot? How did you like the pool? thanks..amy

I will be there December 7 i can't wait. We will be in Fantaisia. We stayed in both Toy Story and Fantasia and i still like Fantasia better.
Do they still have the $9.00 SODA mugs?

Buzz, just wondering why you liked fantasia better? where were you located in both buildings? thanks..amy

We stayed there twice. The first time we stayed in Fantasia. The next trip we stayed in Toy Story. They are both really close to Bus Stop and Main Building. But felt we were in a corner at the toy story. I would have liked on of the closer buildings at toy story but when we went ( early October 2001) that is all that was left.

I am not sure of the building numbers.

Just wondering if the pool seemed to get crowded , did you have trouble finding a lounge chair .? I love to read while the kids swim. did you find the food court was very expensive and did you like the food. How was the transportation ? thanks
Michelle

BigSis - Just wanted to say that we've stayed at the Movies twice and I thought the food court was pretty good, and not that expensive. Portions were a nice size, so you may want to look at what others are ordering first and see the size, then maybe share. We also did the late night pizza delivery and we thought it was pretty good (a little high on price, but so convenient - we had just gotten back from MVMCP!). I also thought the Movies had some of the best bus transportation!!! Both of our visits were in December - pools were not crowded at all!

Enjoy your stay!!!

Do you happen to remember how late the food court is open? I'm checking in tomorrow nite about 10:45 and wondering if I'll have to go to bed hungry!

It should still be open when you check in but the menu selection will be limited. they close most of the entree lines down earlier than the snacks and ice cream stations.
but the selection ranges from wine/cheese to deli sandwiches so you shouldn't go to bed hungry.....
Anything's better than plane food..........

corvair,- we liked the second floor, we were in room 855, first room after the stairs so did not have far to walk and did not need the elevator, the noise was not an issue, even with the turbo flush toilets. Our room was facing Building 9 (Woody), Andys Room was only about 50 feet away. There was a parking lot behind our building (Buzz). My sister did fax our room request 3 days prior to our arrival. Our room was not ready when we checked in at 8am but they did tell us what building we would be in.

Personally I would not pay the extra for the Fantasia buildings the distance to the food court would be the same, only closer to the pool, so unless you plan to spend a lot of time in the pool, I wouldnt worry.

The refillable mugs are $10.99, but definitely worth the money, we used them 3 or 4 times a day paid for themselves by the second day. Food court is open till 11pm, try the Philly Steak Sandwick yummy.

Bigsis, the pools were not crowded at all, the fantasia pool had quite a few people in them, but not crowded by any means, there was always plenty of lounge chairs, and the laundry is right there, so it is a good time to throw a load of laundry on. The food court prices were quite reasonable and we had no trouble with the buses, never had to wait more than 5 mintues even after closing at the parks. Could not find fault with ASMo, they were great.
:)

Aussie Mom....we liked being on the second floor also, not as noisy (i thought) as being on the first level.

How late were the pools open at night? I remember them being open until midnight, my kids loved going for a dip after a day at the parks  . Thanks for the info...i'm running out of time

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions , I don't think the next week is going to go by fast enough. Hope you have a great trip Sidoequ and Simba's Mom !! Michelle

I don't know what time the pool closes, but I know there were still people in it at 11pm.

I was in the Woody building and woke up every morning to buzz's face right across from the room. I loved the room so much, we're headed back in 75 days, (just booked the room last night) and will be faxing a request for the same building. it only took minutes to walk to the bus stop and about a minute to get to the food court. the mugs are totally worth it, as you'll pass by the food court to get to your room, no matter what building you are in, so you can stop in and get a quick drink.

I'm not going until August, but you're getting me pumped up already!!! I'll be sure to request Fantasia or Toy Story so I'm not far from the buses. Thanks for the info guys. :D
