Just back from April 14th wonder--I'm a believer!!

Well, I just couldn't wait to post on this board to say what a wonderful vacation we had. We did the 4 day land/ 3 day sea trip. It was magical! We had never took an official Disney trip before, and we were extremely impressed. The transportation ran extremely smoothly. We stayed at AKL and loved it. Yeah, it's a little far from the parks, but it wasn't a problem for us. The wonder is incredible. It was our first cruise and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Wow! Besides a few little hiccups (a medical emergency causing us to turn around the 1st night and rough seas coming home), it was perfect! Pirate night is awesome, don't miss the party. If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to answer. I'm a believer now that DCL is the way to go!!!!

All these great posts from recent sailers, is just getting to me. I am sooo glad you had a fantastic time. Yes, I agree fully, pirate's night is one of the best things they added!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a land/sea trip in November, and I have never been on a cruise either. My question is, did u dress up for pirate night? Does everyone? My hubby says this sounds like a lot of fun and I was wondering if we should bring costumes.

Not everyone dresses up. Your DH is right, it is a lot of fun, and I will dress up next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THis, IMHO is the best new thing they did. It is so fun. THey do give out bandanas at dinner. Most of the little ones are dressed up somewhat, some families are...They look fantastic...

We didn't "dress up" for pirate night either. We wore our bandanas that they gave out at dinner though. But if your not sure, you can always buy your pirate gear on board. One of the gift shops is prepared to make you into that pirate you've always wanted to be!

Wow I love reading that first timers love the cruise because I'm a first timer too and only have a little wait now after a whole year of planning
