I was in town for Star Wars Celebration last week and capped off the week with two days at DHS and MK. As normal on these trips, I'm a Solo traveler. This means I find things like decent fourth FP+ that families may or may not have luck with.

Big highlights of the trip was seeing SWAGS. It seems like they updated it very recently and there is now a Carrie Fisher Memorial scene along with Rogue One update. I agree with others who say you must choose Galactic Spectacular or Fantasmic. If you love Star Wars, I would say see Galactic Spectacular over Fantasmic. If your not, Do Fantasmic and leave the park while Galactic Spectacular is happening. You will miss much of the show from closer to the back, which you didn't with the old show.

They have also updated Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away with a Death Trooper scene. I'm surprised that almost the show leans on Dark Side Characters and that we don't see any of the Core Three of the Original or Sequel Trilogies. Hadn't seen it last May, so that is why I'm surprised.

Magic Kingdom was busy especially on wait times and was crowded as anything. I was unable to get a Haunted Mansion ride because it was 45 minutes wait and I avoid that long of a wait. Did ride Splash mountain for the first time in several years and enjoyed it. Didn't get terribly wet and dried by the time I finished Big Thunder. The biggest thing I noticed at Magic Kingdom was that they had more distractions such as Cinderella's Carriage, Characters out such as the Evil Step Sisters and Photo Ops throughout the park. Don't have a big clue on how busy it was because of no previous experience this time of year.

Be our Guest is not as good at Lunch as Dinner. Food was lukewarm, but I think that may have been my fault because I spent 10 minutes looking around. Will Do Dinner next time.

Hope this helps folks who are heading down there for the Dark Side Half this weekend or are thinking about Easter 2018 (Early April next year).

Thanks for sharing. We were at WDW from 4/13 - 4/17, & it was our best trip ever. Perfect weather & not excessively crowded at all. Wait times completely reasonable for this time of year.

I think the fact that it was a very late Easter really helped keep the crowds down this year. Easter 2018 (April 1st) will likely have heavier crowds.
