Just back from AKV....And addonitis struck again!

Firstly, let me say that I just returned home from 8 wonderful days at AKV - Jambo House. Everytime I stay at AKV I love the resort more and more.

On Friday I went to the member event at BLT, and addonitis struck again....I couldn't resist purchasing more points Since joining DVC in October of 2000 (BWV was our first home resort) we've added on 5 times. I think we're done now.....but ya never know....addonitis is a serious medical condition that apparantly strikes when you least expect it!

We get addonitis on the cruise - thre cruises and three add-ons Even though we said on our last cruise in June
"No more points!!" didn't work. not sure there is a cure

I've been taking my partner to those member events everytime we go, so far no luck to get him to catch the addonitis yet, but I will keep trying!!!!

There is no cure....we've added on twice since 2007! Both times at BLT....no regrets...love DVC.

Congrats on the add on. It's so hard to resist addonitis, I should know as we have added on four times since we joined in May 2009. I keep telling myself, surely we have enough points now.

I've found that the most effective cure for addonitis is when the annual dues bill comes, but maybe it's just me.

We keep telling ourselves we are just "window shopping" and that we don't really need any more points until 2014. Yet, here we are in negotiations on yet another contract. Hope we get it!

Congrats on the points! I know I'll buy when GF starts selling and I tell myself I need an equal, nice number to leave for my four kids when I'm gone. So far I've used that excuse twice, lol. ---Kathy

We have 9 contracts .... we are looking to add on another 50-75 points. I am trying to hold out for GFV..... But adding on at AKV or BCV for less is very tempting!

I am happy with the price-- which was $99 per point for SSR. I Just needed to add 50 points get to our goal of 500 points so, I'm very happy. I love all of our home resorts-- BWV, HHI, SSR, AKV, BLT & SSR (again).

It was such a challenge convincing DH to buy our initial points I can't imagine I'll ever convince him to do an add-on! Truth is we have enought points, but I always crave more!
