Just back from AKL

We had a great time, we chilled by the pool, relaxed in the room and had a great time in the 4 parks!! Weather was beautiful and had some yummy meals too having the lines app worked out well for wait times. Sad to be back home, although my bed is more comfy than the one at AKL

This was our 3rd time staying in a pool view room! It is so lovely!!!!

At least you have a ticker for your next vacation - that helps take away the sting of rejoining the real world.

Ahh, I can close my eyes and imagine lounging by the pool at AKL - palm trees, the movie playing, the icy pina colda in my hand, the distinctive aroma of the flamingo pond ... That is truly my happy place!

Is there a restroom/changing room facility in the pool area? AllEars.net mentions that you can use the pool on your check out day to kill time before a late flight. We are considering a split stay that concludes with AKV.

Yes there is a restroom right by the Mara food court and the game room -close to the lockers

We stayed at AKL a couple of years ago and love the pool and hot tube area, animals were ok but not really a big draw for us

Glad you had a great stay . We had a pool view the last time and loved it. The savanna views are nice, but I liked the pool view just as much .

I love AKL! We had a Savannah View and it was awesome! Thanks for reminding me about the flamingo pool! We would hang out with them in the evenings!

Yes there are bathrooms/changing area by the pool. We went over to view the animals a few times, but honestly the pool view is so lush and pretty we loved to look out onto it from our balcony. Plus elevators were close and it was a straight shot down to mara. so easy! The air conditioning in the Mara and on the Buses was way too high though. The coffee maker in the studio was a 12 cup regular style one. The pull out sofa was OK for my 2 boys, not the greatest! The mattress was very thin and very firm. Thankfully our 11 year old is very small so it balanced out with our 13 year olds growth spurt. We would prefer 2 queen beds Sanaa was one of the most delicious meals we had out of the 9 TS we did!
