We arrived home last night after a great cruise with 12 family members. It was so wonderful. We were in stateroom 6613 which was our first time in a Cat 11, after having sailed in a Cat 6 3X. There wasn't as much space for storage and the engine noise was definitely louder, but I was pleasantly surprised with the room. We were seated at a table for 12. OUr server was Cornelia, and assistant was Matt. This was the first time on a 3 nighter that the serving team learned our name. They were great. We celebrated a birthday for a 6 year old--they brought a cake, and made sure plenty of characters stopped by the table. This was the first trip that DD didn't play in the clubs, so we did alot more of the family activities than before. The weather was overcast, which kept down the heat. We had a little rainshower at Castaway Cay, but it was still a great day! I'm happy to answer any questions.

Welcome Back! I am gald you had a great time and didn't let the weather dampen your spirits!!

Welcome back! We leave next Thursday and reading about your fun gets me even more excited if that is possible!

What movies were playing on your cruise?

Did you do any excursions at Castaway Cay?

Thanks!

Welcome back!
How many people did you have in your Cat 11?
Did you have bathroom space issues?

We're doing something similar to what you did. Our first 2 cruises we were in a category 5. This upcoming cruise we'll be in an 11.

Did you stress out at all about this before leaving?

Movies on the Wonder: Finding Nemo, Freaky Friday, Pirates of the Caribbean, Under the Tuscan Sun, Cold Creek Manor, Spy Kids 3.

We rented floats on CC and rode bikes, other than that we just enjoyed playing in the water.

Cat 11: I was a little worried about the differences, but would go in a Cat 11 again, at least for a 3 night. There were 3 of us, but the room had the berth so a fourth could be there. The steamer trunk and dresser are missing from the room, so the only drawer space is in the desk, and over the TV in the cabinet. We only had one day that 2 of us needed to use the bath at the same time--I was in the shower, so DH had to go down the hall to the public bathroom (he has less patience than DD about that kind of thing). I still think we'll book a veranda for our next 7 night (whenever that might be) We spent so little time in the room that it really wasn't a problem.

Just wanted to let you know, on our 4 day cruise we had 4 people in a cat 11, me, dh, dd10, ds6 and it was fine. We didn't spend much time in the cabin and when using the bathroom, we just cooridinated our moves, like I would be in the shower when DH was shaving then we would switch.

I wouldn't worry about the cabin...Enjoy yor cruise!!:sunny: :sunny:

We sailed 3 times in a Cat. 11 with the 4 of us and have loved every trip! This last time we did get a Cat. 10 as a 'treat' because we were able to get a SPH room for just $100 more. Next year we have one of the SPH rooms booked again, but I wouldn't hesitate going back again in a Cat. 11 room.

This is all very reassuring. As the date gets closer, I get more anxious about it. I am definitely starting to feel better after everyone's replies. thanks

10 Total in our party!! We have Cat:11 Cabins: 6605-6611

2 Adults per room / except us 2 adults DS(7) & DD (2) DS is really excited about sleeping in the pull-down berth. Hope it all works out........

I'm a little nervous about Engine Noise??? Any problems with this location? Anything you care to add would be great!! We leave in the morning!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanks!!
E

The location worked great for us. Our room (6613) was the first one next to the aft elevators, but we heard no elevator noise, and very little hallway noise. It was very convenient for running down and up the stairs to either the pools or dinner, etc. Lifeboat drill was outside on deck 4 but it was over quickly. If you have the same room attendant (Arraya) she was great--kept the room sparkling, and helped us when DH realized our remote didn't work and we only had 3 channels on the TV (I could have lived with it easily, but not him). The engine noise was very bearable, and me sleep--almost like a white noise, it ran constantly. Have a great trip!!

Thanks.....I feel better!! I actually like white noise. I sleep with a fan just for noise. Location seems to be very easy. Sounds like it will be great!!!!!

Thanks Again,
E

Hi NCRedding!

We had 8 of us on the 10/2 cruise! We got caught in the rain storm (VERY SHORT) on CC and BOY was it refreshing!!!!!

Could you beleive the rocking of the ship on that first night?!!
The Hades character at the 6:30 Hercules kept making seasick jokes. It was hysterical. Did you see it???

We had a blast as well!
