Hi,
I thought that I would share a few thoughts since I got so much great informaton off these boards. We were on the basic dining plan (2 adults) and then we have a 2 year old.

Crystal Palace dinner-The food was really good, they had a lot of variety for the adults and the kids. The characters all came around to the table and they also had a little marching parade. Our 2 year old of course loved it. I would recommend it and would definitely eat here again. They have some kind of a multigrain bread with fruit that I could not get enough of.

Whispering Canyon Cafe-We ate here with my parents and I thought the food was good here as well. I had the ribeye, my Dad had the meatloaf, my Mom the chicken pasts and my husband the skillett. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the waitstaff were a lot of fun with the whole thing about ketchup. I would recommend as the Wilderness Lodge is nice to see.

San Angel Inn-Lunch-I had read a lot of bad things about the food being bad, but my husband and I thought the food was excellent. I made a reservation here because our 2 year old loves mexican food and when we arrived for an 11:30 a.m.lunch,he fell asleep and slept on me the whole time so we actually had a nice lunch even though he was sleeping on me. I had the chicken enchillada and my husband had the mai mai. Both were great and then he had the bread pudding and I had some kind of a fried desert that was very good. I would also recommend this.

Hoop De Doo Revue-We did this because our 2 year old loves music and we thought he would like the show. We were right, he did. The food was pretty good in my opinion as well, chicken and ribs, mashed potatoes, corn bread was excellent, some kind of a salad and then some beans. I did not like the beans all that much and the desert was strawberry shortcake, also good. I enjoyed the show and the wait staff was fun! I would also recommend it!

Boma's for Breakfast-We ate here so we could check out the Animal Lodge and it was very nice. The breakfast was your ordinary buffett so it was good, but not something I would go out of my way again-probably the credit would have been better spent with another lunch or dinner. However, if you are nearby or at the lodge, I would certainly do it.

Chef Mickey's for Breakfast-Also your standard breakfast buffett, but with the characters so it was a lot of fun for our 2 year old. I would certainly do it again!

Anyway, if you have any questions about these places, let me know!
Thanks Ali

It sounds like you had a good time....eating at least!:thumbsup2

Great reviews.

Lately, San Angel seems to be getting pretty good reviews. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I am hoping to include it for lunch in June.

I had breakfast at Boma about a month before you and a different reaction. I thought things like the Frunch (fruit juice) was anything but ordinary and really enjoyed it. The French toast was unlike anything I've had and was melt in the mouth delicious. The roasted tomatoes as well as the pap and salsa were nice things to try as well. There were several meat dishes that I skip (non meateater here), but several were African inspired.

Though it does not offer characters Boma is priced slightly less than those breakfast meals. I think Boma can be as good a choice for DP guests as a character bfast. We also ate at Chef Mickey's for bfast a couple of yrs ago and loved that. I think the quality of the food at Boma is a notch above. With those uique items I did skip the usual bfast pastries, toast, etc. but did have both a made to order omelette and the pre made cheese omlette. I thought the pre made was better...lol.

We paid OOP for both these meals. Overbooked TS credits on the Chef Mickey's trip and was not on the DP for Boma trip. I would spend cash or credits for either meal again.

Not a Pooh a fan but because of the menu I am seriously considering CP for Lunch or Dinner, thanks for the details!

Didn't mean to hijack your review.
