Just back from a very wet week at WDW.

I've never been so glad to leave WDW before. I've never been so wet & cold.

Just a short recap.

We arrived Sat, 8/16. Our flight was only about 20 minutes late. We checked into POR-Riverside around noon. Our room wasn't ready, so we had lunch & went to AK until around 7pm.

Resort - was OK (I've always stayed deluxe, (usually concierge). It was very big. We were in a mansion, overlooking the parking lot close to the East bus stop. We had a corner room. The pool area was pretty. I found the room very old and worn. It was basically clean, but not deep clean (dust on the top of the mirrors, dirty, mildowey window sills, etc. Housekeeping was basically make the bed, empty the trash, change the towels. I'm going to write more on the resorts brd later. Would I stay here again, not until it is rehabed and pressure washed.

Best meal: Tutto Italia, hands down. We liked this more than Jiko.

Worst meal: Mama Melrose. The food tasted good. However, the portions were very small. I had chick parm & spagatti. The size of the chicken was ok (6 oz I'd guess). However, I got maybe 4 oz of spagatti. My dd had a kids pizza which was abt 5" in diamater.

I'll write more later. I've got to get dd ready for school, unpack, laundry, and decorate my new masterbath. (DH didn't go this trip, he remodeled our bath.)

Sorry you had a wet trip. Last week was rough. You can plan everything for a year......but you can't control the weather. Your next trip will be great.......and sunny!

Thanks for the info and can't wait to hear more. So it was cold with the TS.

I am one of those neat freaks, my peeve is dirty walls, especially at restaurants. That is always one of my concerns, a run down room.

Make sure you post pics of your new bathroom! DH isn't coming with us in October (he never goes with us) and all I will get out of it is a cut lawn and a house to clean when I return.

Sorry about the weather. Thanks for the review on Tutto Italia we are trying it for the first time in Sept. We are also booked at Mama Melrose. Congrats on your new bath.

That really stinks, but hey, a wet day in WDW is still better than a dry day at home!

We just got down here yesterday. It looks like we got really lucky (or blessed) and have just missed Fay. Like launchpad said, you can plan all year for a Disney vacation, but you can't plan the weather
