It was an interesting trip made more complex due to changing rooms four times. We didn't have quite enough points for a one bedroom for 8 days, so we stayed in a studio for three (over the weekend).

The first room was clean but had huge dust balls all over the carpet and the vacuum cleaner was still sitting in the hall. The living room had cereal and other bit of stuff on it. We had housekeeping come and take care of it. However it is a little disappointing to find your "home away from home" messy.

We then moved to the studio over by the hospitality house. It was fine. The final move was back to a one bedroom. We were surprised and disappointed that it was a handicap access room. Roll in shower, the only door to the bathroom is through the bedroom, shorter sinks etc. I called and complained and they moved is to another unit but suggested I list that when I make a room request. Have you ever heard of requesting a non-handicapped room?

I now have a much greater appreciation for traveling in the off-season. Fewer points, fewer people, less heat and less rain.

I never heard of requestin a Non handicap room - it is usually the other way. In Feb 2002 we did a similar thing but had fun anyway. Also, I've never had a messy room. Sorry to hear this.

Hope you still had a great time. :)

I have heard of this request - but only if you requested first floor - if you didn't - well - they should not have placed you there.

We always request a non-handicap room for the BWV and just ask for top floor at OKW. Learned the hard way like you did!
We always arrive late since coming from the west coast and seems like these rooms are the last to go.
I especially don't like the handicap layout at BWV. The shower we had was next to the sink (studio) and leaked water out into the main bath area. Always trying to stop it up with towels.
