OMG, we had such an awesome time! I wanted DH to experience Coronado after my October trip with my sister. Check-in was quick and my request for any Cabana building was met. As with my last trip, I found the staff friendly and accommodating.

The resort is decorated so beautifully for Christmas and they are having various activities including a nightly tree lighting, cookie decorating and pinata merriment.

Cafe Rix is a new counter service addition to the resort, they have refillable mug stations along with flat breads, quiches, breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. We spilt our resort dining time between here and the Pepper Market.

We had an excellent Mousekeeper who left some adorable towel creations. Bus service was superb.

The Salsa competition was going on when we were there and we met some very nice people!

DH, who is a deluxe type of guy, was blown away by beauty and amenities of Coronado. Coronado is now our first choice when we are trying to conserve DVC points.

Here are some pics:

Thanks for posting the pictures. Coronado Springs is beautiful! I wanted to stay there in March 2008, but it was booked for our dates. So my family is going to try AKL for the first time.

Excellent pictures! I especially like the first one with the mist... it looks so peaceful! Glad you enjoyed your stay, and welcome back. :)

What beautiful pictures. I am seriously considering the CSR for my trip next December, going solo. This year I stayed at the Allstar Music and the wait time for the buses coming back from the parks was horrible. I made a point of checking all the other resort queues to see which one had the smallest lines and it was always the CSR, so that firmed up my resolve to stay there.
I have hesitated staying there before because the resort is so big, but it really looks so pretty decorated.

Keep trying, rooms open up all the time because it is a convention resort.

My first trip to CSR was with my aunt and we loved it. We had massages, used the hot tub and enjoyed the pool and Pepper Market. We didn't encounter any issues with other guests at all. If you end up in the ranchos, you can always use the bus to get to the main building instead of walking or the golf carts.

Yes and there are signs at each bus stop stating the instructions on how to use the bus to get to the main building.
