Three close friends and myself, just returned from 3 great days of golf at WDW. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom at OKW and we all were very pleased with the accommodations. Even though I am a DVC member, nothing could have prepared me for the size of the OKW 2 bedroom, just great!
Ladies, dont pay attention to the rest of this report, gentlemen please read closely. This trip with just the guys was great. We played golf each day, went sit out on the beach at dusk and drank margaritas and Crown Royal. No kids to worry about, no women to drag you through each Disney shop, and the best, it never took us any longer than 15 minutes to all shower and get ready to go! We were honorable, every evening we called and reported to our wives and significant others, that this trip was good, but would be better if they were here.
We played Osprey Ridge, Eagle Pines and Lake Buena Vista; all were in pretty good shape, considering the unseasonable early summer. It would be nice if Disney would make use of GPS systems but other than that, the service was great. Ate on evening at the Flying Fish Café, the steak was great.
The most ironic thing of the whole trip was meeting a special CM who sat us. Two days before the trip, one of the guys daughter had a baby and he and his wife had to drive from New Orleans to Atlanta, and he was in need of tickets from Atlanta to Orlando in a hurry to make the trip. I called MS and told the CM the story she found tickets that matched the trip agenda and all was well. When we walked into the Fly Fish, she asked about my last name and said she knew who I was, then she explained that she had booked the ticket for us and remembered that my friends daughter had just had a baby. She congratulated him, and we had great service the rest of the evening as she gave us the inside scoop on each item of the menu.
All in all, it was one of the best trips to WDW, though I have a PAP, we didnt step one foot into the parks, instead just enjoying everything else that WDW has to offer. Try it sometime.
One more thing as a true friend I didnt charge any of them a single dollar for the accommodations, which cost me 54pts.
