Just returned from a wonderful trip to BCV and 3 day cruise. My kids where actually in tears when we had to leave BCV to go on the cruise. We were in room 553, this is a dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds. It is a wonderful room. The view of illuminations is amazing. We could even see the world on the lake at Epcot through the trees at times while it was moving to the center. The balcony in this room scans accross the whole unit, it is very long, the normal width, just very long. It was especially nice to have the view since it was storming a lot in the evenings and the kids do not like to be out in lightning. I am happy to report that we had a perfect trip with a perfect room! We did see the alligator again!

P.S. we saw Michael Jackson at MK. This is the first time I have seen anyone famous at WDW and I felt really sorry for him. I felt like yelling at everyone to just leave the poor guy alone and let him have a vacation. He couldn't even move down mainstreet.

Sounds Great!

Like just the room we're hoping for! :Pinkbounc

No ants?

One more  Was that a smoking room??? :p

Thanks for the great report!:D

Happy to hear a positive trip report for BCV and the room sounds like it was a great one!!!

cdy16zz... No there were not ants or bugs of any kind. And sorry no, it was not a smoking room. All the somking rooms at BCV are on the 4th floor. There are some smoking rooms with fireworks views though.

Welcome back Terry...glad to hear you had a good time! How was the cruise? We're trying the 3-night in December; we did the 4-night last December. Are you going to post a trip report?

Terry,

Congratulations on scoring another great Epcot view!
I'll bet it was painful to have to go from a 2BR to a 214 sq ft cabin.

Welcome 'home' Terry Glad you had a great time!

Let's hope you brought some warm weather with you!!!

Just over 3 weeks until my "best friends" weekend at OKW!!!

Are you planning on attending the MI DIS gathering up in Lansing at the end of June?

Glad to hear you had a great trip.

we saw Michael Jackson at MK

That's interesting. He was hospitalized during the week because of the stress of having to give a deposition. Sounds like he recovered quickly. ;)

How cool that you saw Michael Jackson! Encountering someone just nominally famous would be fun enough - but to see somewhat as huge as that?!

But just as cool is another positive BCV report! Yay!

So happy to here you had a great time on your trip. Always glad to here grat reports about BCV. We'll be there soon:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Glad you had such a great trip, Terry. I agree that it's nice to hear a good report. We'll be there in a month. Can't wait!

Thanks everyone.... erikthewise hit the nail on the head. It was really, really hard going from a perfect time in a 2 bedroom to a small cabin. We had a cat 6 with a verandah, so as cabins go I guess it wasn't small, but it sure seemed tiny with 4 of us. And the noise level in the halls and in the rooms next to us was just awful. I could hear complete conversations of the people in the hallway and in the room next to us there was a small baby crying most of the time. We were next to the mid ship elevators so maybe that is why we had so many people in the hallways. At BCV we rarely hear people in the hallways and the good news about the room we were in is that both rooms on either side of our room are CM only rooms so we don't hear noise from other people. I really don't understand why people let their kids run down the hallways screaming at either resorts or on the ship, we have always told our kids "now remember there are people in these rooms and some of them may be sleeping". Interestingly enough, while we were trying to sleep on the cruise, the noise from the hallways was so bad it was actually bothering my kids and they couldn't fall asleep, my 7 year old son actually said "why don't their parents tell them to be quiet". I just reminded him that that is why we try to be quiet when we walk down the halls.

Anyways, I know a lot of people love the cruise and I certainly didn't hate it, but I really would have preferred to stay at BCV the entire 9 days. We seemed to rush a bit more to get everything done in the 6 days we were there, if we had just stayed for 9 days, we would have taken a few days to relax a bit. Maybe if I hadn't been in a 2 bedroom that pefectly suited my tastes previous to the cruise, it wouldn't have been so hard to leave. I know you are pampered more on the cruise, but not that much more (I had turn down service at the BCV) and I can eat at nice resturants at WDW so I guess I am just a BCV gal.

I would say the one nice thing about the cruise was that the kids wanted to be in the kids club during the day a lot so that afforded me the opportunity to lay out in the sun without having to keep my eyes open to make sure my kids don't drown. They also like the kids club at BC, but it doesn't open until the evening so I can't very well put them in there and they lay out in they sun.

Like I said, the cruise was great, but the BCV were absolutely, positively wonderful!

PamOKW... We saw Michael on Wednesday, May 21st. When we he hospitalized?

Michael Jackson Hospitalized Briefly
Fri May 23, 9:00 AM ET

Michael Jackson was briefly admitted to a Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Wednesday, May 21 for observation and treatment after he fell ill. The singer was in the city to give a deposition in a lawsuit that claims the Jackson Five infringed on the trade name of another Gary, Indiana-based band and used two of the band's songs without license.

Wow, that is very interesting considering that is the exact same day I saw him on main street. Okay, so I just double checked my itinerary and we were at MK on Monday and Wednesday and I am almost positive we saw him on the 2nd time we were there. I will double check with my husband when he wakes up. He is currently in bed (and the bathroom) very ill, I think he caught something on the cruise.

I am sooooo happy to hear a great report about BCV. We are headed there in 5 weeks and are really excited. Room 553 sounds exactly what we have requested in a room. We requested non smoking, 2 queen beds, large balcony with a view of Epcot. Hope we get 553! Again, thanks for the great report!

I believe you saw him.I believe the hospital story was a way of getting out of the deposition.

I read the story about Michael and the followup in the Indy papers said something to the effect that court "scares him." It sounded like he had a panic attack and once they figured he'd live, they released him.

Terry, I wondered if your DH was on this trip or home working. What happened -- did he get the stomach-flu/Norwalk-type thing? I actually am cruise-phobic due to this. Hope he is well soon!
