We are home today from a fun and unexpected trip. DH got to go to the IBM conference and so the kids and I went along! We didn't even know until pretty last minute (in Disney planning time anyway). We got to stay for the conference nights at Yacht Club and then moved to All Star Music for 4 extra nights so DH could play a bit too!

We only did 2 table service meals (Rain forest and Sci Fi) ate sandwiches in the room and counter service and had a great time! I even packed snacks in a checked bag! Honestly we didn't miss the table service at all. I thought we would but it was nice to not worry about being at a reservation.

Yacht Club was really nice. We had a balcony overlooking the Boardwalk. We didn't get the correct room and they had to send a roll away bed (there were 5 of us), I choose Yacht or the conference choices because they are supposed to sleep 5. It was ok with the roll away and they brought it up quickly. We were happy to move over to Music were we had 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, I guess I am just not a fancy girl - I like the values.

Any questions I will try to answer!

Thanks for reporting. How were the crowds? And the weather? We're trying to decide what time of year our next trip will be.

We bring food in a carryon as well. I'm always looking to cut corners. What kinds of foods did you bring??

Thanks!

Both the temps and the crowds increased over the week we were there. We arrived on 6/6 and the first 3 days the weather really was very nice. It rained a bit Monday but was cool and the evenings were very nice. But by this morning even at 5am when we caught the bus to the airport it was just hot and sticky! I think it can be either in early June.

While the amount of people increased over the week even on Monday 6/14 at MK we got to do a lot using fast pass and arriving early. We took a break everyday and that is when the lines would be the longest. Around 2 - 5ish. Summer is not my first choice but being a teacher it is when we can go!

I took lots of breakfast food. Muffins, granola, packages of donuts. Lunch food some fruit cups, bread (it didn't go too well) turkey, cheese, chips. Some junk food and packets of kool aid to put in the water.
