just back from 7 nights at the dolphin!!

Sounds great. What a nice Dh. Mine was snoozing with the kids when I did our Laundry. Oh well. It was sort of peacful for me. I went and sat by the pool and read while I was waiting for my loads to finish.

Sounds like you had a great view.

Now I'm wondering if we were doing our laundry together as I talked to a few women!!!

My DH helped bring the laundry and then he sat by the pool as well. I stayed inside the laundry room most of the time so I could be there when the loads ended. I ended up in conversation with some of the women so it was fun talking to women from different places. Maybe you remember me? I did my laundry around 4:00. Wanted to get there before it got crowded.

sorry. I did mine late at night. I was the only one in there at the time.
just me and ms pacman.

When you say late at night what time was that? I always try to figure the best time to do laundry so I'm guaranteed a machine. I did find going between 3:30 and 4:00 was good but by the time I left at around 5:15 it was getting crowded. I always thought either midday or late at night was the best.

Good to hear you had a wonderful stay.

We left Thursday, Aug. 23. I heard that day that the weather forecast for the weekend was going to rain. When did you arrive?

We arrived on the 23rd- sure was beautiful that day. The weather needed time to realize that we were on vacation and said- bring on the rain! :rotfl:

:rolleyes1 I started my laundry around midnight. There were a few people in there when I started but soon it was just me. The cleaning guys were waiting for me to leave so they could get in there and do their thing. Just as I finished some people came down and started some laundry. I felt bad for those cleaning guys.

When you empty the mini bar does housekeeping take the food away or do you just put it in a bag? We are staying at the Dolphin next May and this sounds much better then the $12 a day to rent a fridge. We usually just like to keep some drinks so we won't need much space. Thanks!

I'm surprised that many people were in there at that time but maybe I'm getting old:goodvibes I'm out like a light by midnight after spending a day in the parks. Can't stay up late like I used too.

I never use the minibar because I don't feel like emptying it and getting charged so I bring a large collapsible cooler bag, fill it with ice every morning and instant fridge:thumbsup2 . I actually bring a smaller one as well which I use to bring to the pool.

Yes, the 23rd was a beautiful day. Our flight didn't leave until 7:00 p.m. so we still had a day to enjoy in the parks and can you believe that was the day we were picked and received a Dream Fastpass!!:wizard: We didn't use them since there were no lines in the morning so there was no need to use them. I kept mine as a souvenier and put it in the frames that were being offered in the shops for $10. We also had a Disney photographer take our picture holding them up and that too is in a frame. We'll never forget that day:thumbsup2

I just put the minibar stuff in the cabinet next to it. We also had a collapsable cooler that we kept in the room and a smaller one we took to the parks and pool with us. The minibar was ok but it didn't keep things as cold as a regular fridge. My dh: overbought soda, water etc. We had way too much. I ended up giving it away to a group of teenage girls and their chaperone that checked in on our floor the day we left.

:goodvibes

I was hoping to get a dream fastpass. They looked so cool. we never got one though. A cm in epcot gave my ds two exclusive pins when we were taking pictures with figment. She was really nice to the kids. They were pixie dust pins. one to keep and one to give away.:) :)

We were hoping too during the entire trip and then the last day we got it. You really do have to be in the right place at the right time! Yes, they are so cool that I didn't want to use it so I didn't. It's ashame they aren't good for future visits. They are dated and can only be used on the date they are given.
