Hey everybody....we just got home yesterday from 7 days in Walt Disney World and what a wonderful and WAY TO FAST 7 days it was. We had an exellent trip...crowd levels were great, weather was great, food was great....a wonderful trip was had by all. I'll give you a little rundown of where we stayed and where we dined and I can answer any questions you might have.

We stayed at POP Century this trip....our first stay at a value....we normally stay moderate.

We dined at the following:

MK-

Tony's Town Square
Pinochio's Village Haus
Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe
Harbour House

Epcot-

Alfredo's
Biergarten
San Angel Inn
Coral Reef
San Angel Cantina

MGM-

Backlot Express

Animal Kingdom-

Tusker House Bakery

I will be at POP on Friday! :cheer2: How was POP? Was it crowded and how were the buses? Also how was Cosmic Ray's? What did you eat? I will eat there on Sat. and want to know how it was.

Thanks!

Hey Tinkerbell....we enjoyed POP except for a few minor things....nothing that will really detract from your trip...I posted a full review over on the resorts page and it can be here...http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=972934 .....While the resort itself seems pretty crowded it's really no indication as to the crowd levels in the parks...the longest line we waited in was 20 minutes yet our CM while checking in told us POP was sold out for the week. Cosmic Ray's was really good DW and I split a burger and fries, there is a great toppings bar with hot cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions and the basic lettuce, tomato, etc. DFIL and DMIL split a half rotiesserie chicken and garlic mashed potatoes...they said it was really good and it looked like it. They also had a triple chocolate cake for dessert which was really good as well. Hope you have a great trip...I wish I was already going back. :wave2:

Did you like Tony's? How were the crowds? We leave Saturday!!!

We loved Tony's we have booked ADR's here about 30 minutes before parade time for the last few years and have always been able to request a patio seat and enjoy the parade with our meal. DW and I split spaghetti with sweet italian sausage and it was excellent. I also had the Tiramisu for dessert which was great as well. The crowds were awesome...we have been in May, July and at Christmas time and these were the lightest crowds we encountered. Many attractions were walk-ons and if you get the chance to do evening EMH do it, we walked on nearly everything at MGM and MK. :wave2:

I had been told by my family that Tony's was only for parties who were participating in Grand Gatherings. How many people in your party?

Tony's Town Square is open to all, not just Grand Gatherings. We (party of 4) ate there in Oct. and enjoyed it. Best service of any TS meal we had all week.

We only had 4 in our party and DW and I have eaten there just the 2 of us on a few occasions so it being available only to GG is not the case. I'd highly recommend it....we've never had a bad meal there. :wave2:

Glad you had a good time. What did you think of Alfredo's and Coral Reef? It's been over 10 years since I've eaten at both.

This was our first trip to Coral Reef and it was great....the ambiance of the place is awesome, sitting there watching the aquariums is just great. The food was excellent....I'm not a huge fan of seafood but DMIL had been dying to eat here for years....I got a Crab Cake and Lobster Soup and they were excellent....everyone else enjoyed their selections as well.

Alfredo's is always a must do on our dining list and we have yet to have a bad experience there. I always get the sampler platter but this year chose to split Alfredo with DW....We also split the dessert sampler which was excellent. I would give both of these places a nod....we had nothing but wonderful experiences. :wave2:

How was San Angels Inn in Mexico? DH and I will be dining there as part of our CP package on 12-9-05. We have not been to this Mexican restaurant for many years. It often gets so-so reviews.

We stayed away from San Angel in on some previous trips because we too had heard some bad reviews...however we have since been here the last 3 trips down and the food was excellent. This time the service was a bit lack luster but not bad enough to deter from the enjoyment of the meal. I just love the ambiance of SAI, I could sit in there all day watching the boats go by on El Rio Del Tiempo....I think you will really enjoy it. :wave2:
