Just back from 5 full days in the parks

The crowds were really good until Thursday at MK. We arrived Sunday 5/22/05 and went to MK our first day. We walked on everything. In fact, we did Splash Mtn. twice, BTMRR, POC, HM, Peter Pan, Mickey's Philarmagic and IASW all before our 11:30 a.m. AR at Crystal Palace. It wasn't until our last evening there when we went back to MK around 2:00 p.m. that we began to notice the crowds. Wait times for Splash and BTMRR were at 70 min. and even POC and HM had 45 min. waits. We used Fast Pass alot especially Thursday evening at MK. By 8:00 p.m. the lines had settled down and we were able to walk on a few things. Splash Mountain broke down quite a few times while we were there. We went to MK Tuesday morning and when we got there the Cms were standing there directing people away from Splash saying they were temporarily closed due to "technical difficulties" We noticed that it was back up before lunch and decided to ride it since the line was short. Well wouldn't you know that it broke down while we were on it and we were stuck on it for an hour before they got it moving again. Thursday night it was down again due to what they called technical difficulties but it was back up by 8:30 p.m. so we did get to ride it. I don't know what the problem was but I have never seen Splash Mtn. break down so much in one visit. This ended up making the wait time for BTMRR double :earseek:

Welcome back! Hope you had a great time!!! How was Magical Express or did you not use it? Where did you stay?

Hope you had a great time!
I'm going in a week and can't wait. Although I'm worried we will forget something with the hussle nearing blast off.

One question for you........ What was your favorite thing you did on your trip?

I did not use Magical Express. We always drive from Louisiana-this time it took me just under 10 hours and we were there by dinner time.
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and it was great as usual. The resort was very clean and the rooms have been refurbished. The only think I was dissapointed in was that when they refurbished the rooms they took out the shower curtain with Brer' Rabbit on it and now it is just a blue gingham curtain.

My favorite thing that I did on my trip was probably have lunch at Crystal Palace. It's been a few years since I have eaten here and the food was stiil as good as I remember it and the characters were great :flower:

As far as eating-we ate at Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time Cafe and San Angel Inn and RFC at DTD for sit downs. Crystal Palace and RFC were the only ones that I made AR for in advance. We made Ar for 50's Prime Time the morning we were in MGM and I called and made AR for San Angel Inn the day before we went to Epcot. The food and the service were excellent at all three restaraunts. We got Cousin Mark at 50's Prime Time and he was great. As for the rest we ate counter service at: Pecos Bill's, Cosmic Ray's, Pinnochios Village Haus, Toy Story Pizza Planet and Pizzafari :flower: We also stopped at the Main Street Bakery a few nights and we got ice cream at Girrardehlis(sp?) in DTD and the Main Street ice cream parlor :mickeybar
The weather was excellent while we were there. They predicted rain last Tuesday but it skirted around us and we did not see a drop. It did get overcast, but that just made it cooler so that was nice. I cool front even pushed through on Wednesday and the weather Thursday was great with very low humdity.

As far as busses, aside from a few bad bus drivers we did not have to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus :goodvibes
