Had a fantastic time! Both the cruise and the weather were awesome! If anyone has any questions, feel free to reply or e-mail me.

Did Cable Beach/Wyndam in Nassau - DS's 9 and 12 enjoyed the beach and the pool. Went back to the ship for lunch, afterwards, kids went to clubs and DH and I went to shop on Bay Street.

Castaway Cay day a little cool in the morning but sunny and hot in the afternoon. Water was 76 degrees.

Pirate Night and the fireworks were spectacular!

Our servers were Marjan and Jan and they were terrific. In fact, the kids had planned to eat at the kid's club but decided to eat with us because they enjoyed the servers and the grown-up food.

Oh - and we rebooked a 7-day on board.

Glad to hear you had a great cruise! It looks like you caught the cruise bug!

Sounds great....Glad to hear you rebooked...Isn't it the best.??

Did your kids go to the Kid's Club at all? Did they like it? Any info on their expereince would be appreciated. What stateroom were you in?

Glad to hear you had a great time. We are planning on going to Cable Beach on our June 5 trip. Do you have any suggestions or information we might need to know about this day at the beach? We would love any insider tips you have :flower: !

Thanks

Could you explain how to use the pool? Do you have to get a day room for this? My kids are they same age as yours and I think they would enjoy this...but, my 9 yr old would rather swim in a pool than the ocean. I'd love to hear more about this!! Thanks!

glad to hear you had a great time on the same cruise :teeth: ...i had an awesome time too...awesome weather and had excellent servers as well :)

Been bit by the bug, too.... What date did you rebook for? We rebooked for a year and a half from now. It's going to be a loooong 18 months.

Glad to hear that you had a great time. Sounds like the weather was great for you! Congrats for re-booking the 7 day cruise, I'm sure you're excited about that.
What was Cable Beach like? I had thought about the Paradise Island beach thing, but read that there wasn't any shade, and it was hard to even get a beach chair.
Thanks!

We just got back also from the 4/24 Wonder cruise. We did the Blackbeard Cay/Stingray Adventure. That was great. All the kids there really enjoyed feeding the rays. The stingers have been removed for safety and are enclosed in rather large fenced area of the ocean.

We booked another 4night that we will be changing to May 2007 as a surprise for my sister. (Sweet 16 [and a half]).

Loved the Pirate party. And the fireworks were a complete surprise to see. I love fireworks.

All I had to hear was DH saying "I can't believe that you haven't booked a 7-day yet" to send me scurrying down to rebook! Right now we are booked on the 4/29/06 Eastern, but we will probably have to change it to a 2007 date when they become available - I'll be renting DVC points to help pay for it, and I already borrowed our 8/2005 points. Unless we win the lottery.

We were in stateroom 8586 and loved it! We were right under Topsiders so it was easy to run up and get coffee and soda. It was a little noisy early in the morning on a few days - we are moving to deck 7 next time for a little less money and a little more quiet.

My kids loved the Kid's Club. They were both in the 10-12 group (my younger DS will be 10 on May 15 so I moved him up to be with his brother).
They went there Sunday night, Monday afternoon after lunch, back again after Golden Mickeys and dinner that night, and Tuesday afternoon on Castaway Cay. On our sea day, they were in and out all day. It was a good thing they ate lunch there because they wouldn't have gone for the seafood buffet at Topsiders.

Cable Beach was a great idea I got from reading these boards. We took a cab each way, but I understand there is a bus that is cheaper. No wristbands are needed at the Wyndam - you can just walk straight through the casino and onto the beach. The beach is not as nice as Castaway Cay, but after winter in Pennsylvania any beach looks good. The only bad thing was there were a million teenagers - I thought it was Spring Break but someone told me they were high school seniors on graduation trips (apparently, drinking and gambling age is 18 in the Bahamas). We were lucky to grab one chair on the beach, and then luckily found two by the pool. The kids were in the ocean about an hour and a half, the pool another hour (it has a waterslide), then they got hungry so we went back to the ship. It's only about a ten minute ride. For $40., it was a nice morning.

Sorry this is so long - hope I answered all your questions!

Lisa
