Just back from 2 week trip to WDW!

I can't say enough how much we enjoyed it. Overall, there was way too much food! The Table service dining plan is way too much for us and we brought home about 20 snacks from unused meals. The weather was really nice - not too hot or humid (compared to the last 2 years). The time frame for this was 9/22-10/6 so we got a chance to do MNSSHP, Food & wine festival, etc.. Alot of things to do! For the 40th anniversary party, the crowds were the worst I've ever seen them on Saturday night at MK, according to my son-in law. He said you couldn't move and they opened up the exit over by Buzz to let people out. I was disappointed over the changes in the MNNSHP - we like the walk from Fantasy Land to Space M. to get candy.
.The train around MK only has 2 stops now during the new area's construction. They are in the front and over by Splash mountain.
.The redone Tiki birds is fun and worth at least 1 stop per trip.
. Tower of Terror now has varying drops - you get 4 drops with varying heights. Very fun.
.The decorations are nice for Halloween and the party was alot of fun but I'm not sure it is worth the money anymore. I was disappointed that there wasn't a fog over by Pirates like a few years ago to make it spookier. There was alot of candy of good quality but the lines were long on 9/27.
.Pop Century was a disappointment - we asked for 50's top floor overlooking the lake but was given bldg 8, 2nd floor overlooking a maintenance area - way too far from Everything Pop. Felt like we were in a cheap motel! The service was poor as well- I had to call to complain about it. - We didn't get kleenex, soap or shampoo for 4 days one week. although we booked the bounce back offer there for next year, we are thinking abour trying elsewhere.
.The preferred locations have not changed from last year according to the manager.
. The bus service was very good - didn't wait too long (15 min average)
.The Art of animation hotel is going up and they are working on many buildings at once. They tell me that tey will be ready for 2012 for parts of it.
.MK - they are saying that the new are will be partially done in 2012 with completion in 2013. Based on what I saw, I'd believe 2014 - they are really just breaking ground in some areas of it and need to do alot of work.
.F&W - try the food at the Korean exhibit - very good but spicey! The lobster rolls over at the American booth was the best of the show - and they are a snack credit!!
.5K road race: my wife ran this through AK and she tells me it was okay. Way too many people thought to make the turns without getting jammed up on them.
.Half Marathon: My daughter ran this Saturday night starting at 10:30pm due to the heat. It was a long race and you could pay extra to stay in Epcot for the end of the race. We didn't stay till the end at 2am but watched a giant TV over by Soarin to see the runners.
