Just back from 1st time to BWV - any questions?

We got back last week from BWV as first time DVC members. Overall the trip was fantastic. The location of BWV is tremendous, especially for Epcot lovers. Our standard view studio was in perfect condition, the convenience the Boardwalk atmosphere was great as well. The only complaint I had was the bus service to MK. We had a car and drove everywhere else, but both times we went to MK we arrived at the bus stop between 1:00 and 2:00 (after arriving at 7:30 early opening) to find the line was so deep there was no way we would get on the next bus. Both times we went to the Swan/Dolphin bus (right next to Boardwalk stop) and walked back to Boardwalk. Not much of a hassle, but if that is the only negative thing I can come up with after a 10-night stay you can tell we had a great time. Fire away with any questions you have!

Glad you had a great trip. We will be going home in 58 days and can't wait. My biggest question deals with the bus service to MK. Did you travel by bus to MK on an EE day. What time did the bus pick up at BWV? How many other resorts did the bus stop at? I've read several post on this subject and it worries me. Since we like to take advantage of EE days.

We did go to MK for EE twice and were at the bus stop around 7:00. Both times we were waiting at the MK gate just prior to the 7:30 EE time. The bus went directly to MK one time as it was partially filled when it arrived and was filled to capacity at our stop. The second time we were the first ones on and the bus made one stop at YBC. The bus service was fine on the way to MK it was leaving to go back that it was a problem. It is only about a five minute walk (probably less) from the Swan or Dolphin so I suggest hopping on their bus if the line for BWV is long.

As far as the busses to the water parks I can only speak to what I heard while we were there. We had a rental car so we drove to the water parks, but a family we met at the pool said they had no problem with the busses. Again, the bus arrived at BWV within 10 minutes or so, but was a slightly longer wait to come back.
