Hi everyone. We just got back from our first HH trip today. We stayed for 6 nights in a studio in the main lodge. Nex time, I will definately get a 1 bedroom. Other than that, our trip was great!!! I LOVED the beach!!
Being from Massachusetts, it was sooo nice to swim in the warm water. We rented beach chairs and boogie boards. The weather was perfect everyday. It was a very relaxing vacation. Much different from WDW. I liked the pool at the beach house better than the pool at the resort. The resort pool was a little too crowded. Hard to get a chair. At the beach house, we kept going back and forth from the beach to the pool. We flew down, landing in Savannah. The drive to HH wasn't bad at all, approx. 30 to 40 minutes and easy to find. The only thing I thought was weird was that the food and drink place closes at 5:00pm. I thought that was kind of early especially because we were in a studio and if we wanted to grab something quick for dinner or get a drink (alcohol of course) we couldn't do that after 5:00pm. We tried several restaurants. 3 of them were within walking distance, The King Fisher, Scotts fish market and San miguels and we also tried sticky fingers and the old oyster factory. Our favorite, although a bit pricey was the king fisher. Great Crab legs!!! We are now hooked. We decided to go back again in 2008. We are going to WDW for 3 nights in October and then for 10 nights in April. We will probably alternate between HH and WDW each year. For anyone who has not tried HH yet, I highly recomend it!
