Just back from 11 days @ POFQ

We just returned yesterday from 11 days @ POFQ and we loved it. The crowds were very low until 10/5 then it was so busy we couldn't really do anything. We would definitely stay here again.

PROS-Great housekeeping, every time we needed something they were there w/in 5 minutes. Only 1 towel animal but everything was clean and great. We were in Bldg 5 facing the river and couldn't have asked for a better room location. It was perfect. Not a long walk. Very quiet. The buses were great except for one day and I will talk about that later. I would really hate to stay @ POR because most of the times we didn't go over there, even if we weren't full. Sometimes we only went to the first stop. All in all this was a great resort and we really didn't have anything to complain about.

CONS-Not many, the food court was lacking. I didn't like the food but I am very picky. I thought POR was better. The staff was friendly but uninformed. One morning we asked if we could get 1 small Mickey waffle as a snack. Both people behind the counter said yes. We went to pay and she said no. We argued and finally told her we would just pay for it. Well, then you have to get the bacon and drink because it's free and cheaper and we told her we didn't want it. She argued that it was free, we had to get it. I told her that just because it was free doesn’t mean we want it. The breakfast was a little confusing for us. There were 3 of us and we couldn't' drink 6 drinks. It was excessive. POR said we could get a Danish instead POFQ said no. I like the dining plan but I think it needs some tweaking. Not a POFQ problem though.

All in all I loved this resort and would stay again. If you have any questions ask away. After 11 days here I know just about all I could know.

Glad you liked POFQ! Sorry the food court didn't work out. Did you try the beignets? I've stayed there twice and it's my favorite mod.

Sounds like you had a great time, we were are POFQ two weeks ago and we really enjoyed it. We were in building 1 - not my first choice, but the resort is so compact the walk to the food court and pool was very short, much shorter than I first thought when I was looking at the map. We only ate in the food court in the mornings, and it was good, we did get an order of bengiets, they were different then what I thought they would be - alot lighter than I imagined. The pool was great, we would definatley stay there again!

We just got back from POFQ yesterday from a 6 day stay and loved it too! I would stay there again in a heart beat -- it is perfect for kids.

Glad to hear that overall your trip was positive. We are staying at POFQ in January. I do have one question. What are the laundry facilities like? How many washers/dryers are there? I have heard reports at other resorts that the dryers are super slow and need to be run at least twice. Is that the case at POFQ?

I did laundry twice while we were there. The sign says 30 min wash and 30 min dry time. I just found a dryer that was still warm and put my clothes in there. I never had to pay for more than one round. One time the dryer stayed on for over an hour another time it cut off right at 30 min. We never had a problem. Just try and find a dryer that's still warm on the inside and it won't take as long to heat up. Worked for us.
