And had a great time. DH, DD, her girlfriend (both 16), and I in a studio. When we first checked in, we had a room on the third floor w/out a balcony. I called the front desk to ask if there was any possibility of getting a room with a balcony, and they were able to put us in a first-floor patio room the next morning ($25 room change fee, of course). I was apprehensive about the patio, but we loved it. We had Room 1502, right next to the lodge. DH and I would have our morning coffee outside while the girls slept, and we could hear the music at the lodge but felt very private because of all the plantings.
However, the studio didn't work very well for us. Why? Well, I knew DH is a snorer, but imagine my shock when the girls told us they couldn't sleep because we both kept them awake with our snoring
!! So now -- we have to buy more points
. We'll stay in a one-bedroom when the kids are with us, a studio if it's just the two of us.
This was our second trip home and I must say, it was the best trip we've ever had. We were there for ten days, so we'd go to a park or two one day and take the next day off. We did the recreation plan, and it paid for itself in three days. The girls loved the water mice and this is easily the best bargain at WDW. Life is good. Except now I'm back at work
.
I'd be glad to answer any questions anyone may have.
