Just returned from 10 days at the Comtemporary. We ran into a very nice CM @ check-in. He upgraged our room from the North Garden wing to the 11th floor in the tower. We had a wonderful room overlooking the pools & lake! It was a magical vacation,
complete with sunshine every day. I would like to thank everyone
who answered my questions, and gave me such wonderful tips.
I don't know if anyone else has witnessed this event at the Contemproary, but we thought it was a scream..... One morning as we passed through the lobby, the usual elevator music suddenly switched to a very loud "Hi ho hi ho, it's off to work I go" while a virtual army of housekeepers marched through the front doors!:D Only at Disney:teeth:

I would of loved to had seen the housekeepers marching in to that tune......fantastic........where did you go and eat ......anywhere special......would love to hear more.......thanks

What an awesome upgrade!! It's the kind of upgrade we all dream of. I would love to try the Contemporary, we are hoping to in November. How was the transportation? Thanks

I've never heard of the housekeepers doing that, it sounds so funny!
Are you from Cape Cod?

To answer your questions: yes, I am from Cape Cod. We returned to 45 degree rainy weather...it was painful after all that sun.
Even though it was very busy when we were there, the transportation was very good. We especially loved the convience of the monorail. There was almost never a wait at the "resort monorail" line. This hotel was the perfect spot for my 14 year old son. So much to do. he rented a water mouse nearly every day!
Anyone 12 or over can drive one of these fun little boats. I was impressed how Disney stressed safety. They monitor every move they make on that lake.
My son took part in the surfing lessons at TL. This was the highlight of his trip. We had to have him at TL very early in the am,
but it was worth it. The pros that teach them are awesome! There
were a few adults who surfed too, and they had a wonderful time!
We ate at Prime Time 50's, always good for laughs and pretty decent food. Whispering Canyon Cafe @ WL was hysterical!!
They have 1 bottle of ketchup which must be shared, and all kinds of crazy antics! They actually made a soft ball coach, who was there with his team, ride around the room on a wooden pony! My son ordered nachos, and he was referred to as the "nacho-man" thereafter.
Beaches & Cream @ the BC has the best hamburger @ WDW, as well as awesome sundaes! I had the "Milkyway" and it was large enough for 3 people to share. Very busy.... get there early. We also ate @ Boma where they have huge buffet of African food.
Most of it is very spicey. My son went directly to the American macaroni & cheese. If you like adventerous eating, this is for you.The fish & chips @ the Rose & Crown in the UK was very good. Although you will pay less if you order it at the take out window. For the first time we tried Cindy's in the MK. We had an awesome table overlooking the carosel. Excellent service. You will be treated royally!:D

sounds like you had a great time........and I love to hear about other people and their food experiences.....sounds great......thanks again

I've stayed at the Contemporary twice and never saw what you describe. Wish I had...it sounds pretty cool!
