:rockband: Flew in New Years day after two weeks of Magic! Will try to write trip reports soon! For anyone using Sanford Airport - can thoroughly recommend The Guest House facility - especially if delayed! More later - so much ironing to do! Any questions - feel free to ask!

Welcome Back  You sound like you had fun! Can't wait to hear about it in your trip report :)

Hi - glad you had a good time -
With regards to the guest house at Sanford - can you just book it on the day of your departure - how?
How much was it?
Any info will be great - oh two of our party smoke can you go in/out to smoke in zones or is the airport non smoking - cant remember as last time there were no smokers amongst us!!
Thanks

hello florida Hippy! You just go to the reception desk and pay! We asked if it would fill up later and they said that it was very unlikely. We were there for 6 hours and shared it with 2 other families!!! Well worth the money (20 dollars per adult over 21, 15 per child)

Not sure about smoking - we were all non smokers - sorry! When do you go? :D

Glad you had a good time, looking forward to reading your trip report!

We are considering booking the guest house this trip as we are taking our little brother who is 8!!

Hi 'Very Excited'

We landed on New Years Day and we had a few hours delay at Sanford too, as we hadn't handed our car back into Dollar, we headed off to a shopping mall. As you used the The Guest House, what did you get for your $20 ? Was there internet access there ? Video/DVD or anything to keep the kids amused

Glad you had a good time too, shame about the weather - but that didn't put us off too much

Thanks for your help

I think we were on the same flight Mandy mouse! Wish I had gone to the Mall with you! - Hubby wanted to relax so we decided to use the guest house. It is a lovely place but probably wouldn't bother if only had an hour or two to wait.
There is a lovely playroom with toddler toys and soft play stuff along with a mothers room for those with young children. There is another room with playstations in (about 7 I think) then there is an area with huge screen and comfy chairs and a selection of DVD's to choose from. There were 3 computers with free internet access - my daughter spent ages on them! There is a large lounge area with lots of sofass and cmfy chairs with books and magazines and there is a 'cafe' like area with a bar (2 free alcoholic drinks per adult, unlimited soft drinks/tea & coffee and nibbles) It was very quiet and very relaxing!
It was a nice way to end the holiday!

Did you have fun with the reading lights on our return flight?!!!

Glad you enjoyed yourself too! :flower1:

Thanks 'Very Excited' for the info - we shall see how much we have left at the end of the hols!!! We are arrive in Florida on Friday 14th Jan so we are getting really excited (think I am the most excited out of us all!!! - apparantly its because I have done all the planning!!) Our first proper family holiday for about 10 years and I am so nervous/excited etc!! Want everybody to have a good time so am in nervous overdrive at the moment - am at work at the moment but thought I would just visit here to get some pixie dust!!
I just love your piglet piccie!!!

Florida Hippy - not sure how I got my Piglet piccie - it appeared one day!! Cute eh? I am soo jealous of you - want to go again! I was the most excited in our family too (hence the name!) and I was the one who did all the planning! My family were impressed with all the tips I had picked up from here though! Planning certainly pays off - I met so many people who hadn't done nearly as much as us just through lack of knowledge/planning! I have so much to thank this site for! Have a super time and if you think I can help in any way - just ask! :wizard:

Thanks for the info 'Very Excited', the Guest House sounds good if you've got a long wait.

Yes, the lights on the flight home were causing some amusement, with the person sitting two rows in front of you controlling them.

Where were you sitting ? We were near the back 49 & 50 A & C.

It's quite depressing being back isn't it ? I can't believe that this time last week I was in Epcot.

We were in row 34 - so we wern't controlling your lights!! I was in IOA this time last week! And a week ago tomorrow (if that makes sense?!) I was celebrating my 40th Birthday at Chef Mickey's!!!
Yes Guest house great if you've along wait!!
