We got back last night (trip Monday - wed). We (my mom and I) went w/o kids and I did not take any pictures. We had a nice relaxing trip.
We were able to ride on the Lilly Bell and right after, we able to get a table in BB at 5pm (had cancelled our PS to ride the train). We split the salmon and a desert - both very good. Our waitress was very nice.
I bought a $25 certif. for the House of Blues for $2 so we ate there for our first meal. We would have never gone there if we did not have a certif. It was very good and we will be back. Great waiter.
We ate breakfast at CC yesterday on a whim. We were at the gate when it opened at 9:30 and went directly to CC where we were seated immediately.
We got to met the famous Oscar. He is very nice and we enjoyed meeting him.
My only issue, which I could rant on for pages -
If you are going to be a Fair Godmailer or someone is doing it for you, here is a warning:
Bring stamps - they do not sell them in DL anymore.
Post cards - the selection sucks!!
Sorry no other way to put it. I have a better selection at home. We were there about the same time last year and they had a wonderful selection, especially in fantasyland. This year they had one card with 55 aniversary on it, one with the fab 5 in front of the castle, 2 different 3-d cards and that was about it! I was very disappointed since I was tring to find two cards to send.
It was a great trip, not a huge number of people, great weather and the staff was wonderful. It was nice to be able to do a number of things we would not do on a kid's trip. The next trip will be a kid's trip with my new pre-teen daughter - can't wait!
