Just back... EVERYTHING WORKS

Wow. K...

While I do know everything ;), I never said or implied you were stupid or anything like that. We all choose a bad argument now and again, myself included, but it doesn't make anyone an imbecile.

But, ok.

Ok, so now I add to my list of flaws that I choose bad arguments. Thank you continuing to provide enlightenment on what a horrble, lowly, and unworthy poster I am.
So now my list contains: I try too hard to make my points, I say things that are beneath me, I use hyperbole, and I choose bad arguments.

Anyhing else?

Yeah, you appear to not like Phil Collins!

There's a girl that's been on my mind
All the time, ..-..-Suvadoo, oh, oh
Now she don't even know my name
But I think she likes me ;) just the same, ..-..-Suvadoo, oh, oh!

You have to admit that intentional or not you have a very condescending manner. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, as we all are, but your posts have a chronic tendency to beat someone down thru words and frequency if they don't happen to agree with yours.

Just sayin'.......

Currently, AK only has one, at Guest Services at the very front of the park. Subject to change, of course.

You'll have to hunt for others at the other parks. They keep getting moved and are slowly disappearing.
Filtering through the snark here, I saw this. I understand that the kiosks keep moving but are they actually decreasing in number too? Why in the world would that happen? :sad2:

Here's what I've found:

Last month, the maps that I pulled in the parks didn't have kiosk locations on them but the maps on the website do:

MK Map

Epcot Map

HS Map

AK Map

The locations those maps show them to be are the same locations I found them at last month.

Do they move? They certainly seem designed to be easily moved, as there is no hard signage and the kiosks themselves are portable. They tend to be "hidden" from plain view by being behind a structure or under an alcove with the only indication they are there is by a folding sign with an arrow.

And of course, a line.

These will be very useful - thanks! If they move, a CM had better tell me where they went. I know, not likely. ;)

Your welcome. Most times, they are easy to spot:

Ugh, that looks unappealing. Knowing how slow people can move, I wonder if it might be wiser to just line up at the ride itself sometimes.

I found that when the kiosk lines were that long the wait to use the kiosk equaled or exceeded the standby wait times of the attractions that were left.

I'm pretty sure that when I was there a week ago there was a kiosk across from Yak & Yeti.

This adds what exactly to a FP+ discussion?

Yikes! Which location is that? That's not the most flattering image of FP+ "saving time" for Disney guests.

The post does reference FP+ making the SB lines longer. Stop with the Su Su, that's not my name and you know it. Please don't respond to me with some clever retort, just stop it. The only person who finds this amusing is you.

DisneyKidd is just referencing Phil Collins' Su-Su-Sudio. Understandably, as far as I'm concerned, because that song pops into my head every time this poster's name appears.

I enjoyed the post. It highlighted why FP+ rants are often misplaced. It was just unnecessary to turn a legit question into a FP+ rant.

The OP came out to resurrect his own post to ask what's new, and you posted a link about someone else having a bad experience. :confused3

And I get that song stuck in my head every time he does that. Darn you DisKidd. :)

I just don't get the need to jump on ppl on the Dis! "I loved this- can you tell me what's changed since last time?" "You shouldn't have- I can link you to people who did not like it for unrelated reasons. Be prepared to not like it again, it wasn't as good as you thought". ROFL

OP... I don't think much has changed. We went in May, and had basically the same results as you. The windows and such are all pretty much as they were, tho I'm personally anticipating FPs at Epcot to be harder to get because Maelstrom is closed which reduced the number of useful Tier-1s there compared to when we went in May. i.e. before, we could pull a Maelstrom after using our main one on TT or Soarin. Now, there won't really be anything else in Tier-1.

There is lots of new stuff at the AK which I'm looking forward to, myself. Not Pandora but the updates to Africa. Have fun!

It doesn't reference at all the poster erroneously assumed to be at WDW the same time as the original poster of this thread using FastPass. That other thread provides its OP's opinion of why lines were "longer" - longer being relative, given that those are typical or possibly even low standby times for those attractions.

As much as I, you know......

....feel so good if I just say the word
Just say the word......

........I'll cease and desist. That was the last time, really! Olive branch not accepted, oh well.

At least someone understands why I questioned Suvadoo's seemingly misplaced response in this particular thread. Sorry for distracting you all with our spat and smarmy nit-picking.

Serious question, am I the only one who ever had issues with a Key to the Kingdom card?

That's the location in HS between RRnC and ToT. Picture was taken on a "4" day per EasyWDW.

We did, once, it was our last stay where they still gave KTTW cards (our first MB stay). The front desk CM didn't activate them for the room correctly. We went back to the front desk, they said "OOPs", activated them, and we went on with our lives. Fixing it took less time than walking back over to the front desk (we were at VWL).

In contrast, with MBs we've had:
-One stop working for no reason one stay. My husband had run down to the Roaring Fork for food with only his band (because that's all you need! no wallet required!) so then had no way to pay and no way to get back into the room. He stopped at the Concierge to get help, and after working on it for 30 minutes, they said that they'd never seen the error before and wanted to keep working on it, and he declined since we'd been sent a 2nd set of bands for an inexplicable reason, so he had a backup (no split stay or anything like that). Our next stay, that MB worked fine, so who knows what happened.
-Every stay we've had at least one MB not work to open the room until we went back to the front desk to have it "fixed."
-Multiple times where the MBs haven't worked to pay in the parks for unspecified reasons.
-Twice where the restaurant was having problems with the MBs and we were asked to pay another way.

We've also been Blue Mickeyed at the park entrance once or twice, again, with no explanation why an error happened. But those were easily resolved.

I know what he's doing, but I have asked him to stop, but he continues. It stopped being amusing and became condescending after about the first month.

But I guess I have no right to ask that someone stop with the nickname and expect my wishes to be respected.

I won't do it again, you have my word.

How many months have I been doing it? Seems to me like it was just 3 weeks ago when I became smitten with it. My, how time flies!
