We just got back and Ive been trying as much as possible today to post all our experiences in the appropriate places, and break it up by topic in order to make it easier to read and find what you are looking for. For example, most of our dining reviews are posted in the restaurant section by each individual restaurant. Now Im trying to give the general overhaul with the kids and being pregnant. Seems like the stuff pertinent to the family board. If I miss anything, just ask and Ill be happy to answer.
Our 15 month did just fine there. He is pretty high maintaince at home and was actually much easier at WDW. In the beginning he didnt want the characters within two feet of him, but by day 8 he was in love. Except with the face characters. Those he could still do without. The Mad Hatter was telling us that the real little ones like one or the other and its about 50-50 which they take to. He learned two new words, Mickey and Duck. His favorite attractions were Playhouse Disney, Country Bear Jamboree, and Festival of the Lion King. There were many others he enjoyed, but didnt hold a special excitement for himBuzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh. I cant say there was anything we took him on that he hated. On Haunted Mansion, at the end, when the ghost shows up in the mirror in your car, we got very puzzled. He kept looking at the mirror and then back in the car where the ghost would be. It was funny.
Our 4yo pretty much stayed the same as the last trip. He must have rode Goofys barnstormer a dozen times total. He wasnt as into the characters this trip. Usually telling us he had already met that character. Alternatively, he would go up to them for a hug and picture, but didnt want their autograph. Power Rangers, The Incrediables, Robin Hood (characters that werent out or we missed last trip) were a HUGE exception to this. I just chalk that up to the trips being so close (7 months) together. Another favorite ride, one we missed last time, was Splash Mountain. He rode that 3 times in a row. He also loved Tom Sawyers Island and The Bone Yard, both closed the last time we were there. Donalds boat also made for a great diversion in the heat when he was losing steam.
