We drove with our 5yo DD and 8mo DS. Any questions?

Wow! Congrats on making it up and back!! :) You must have good travelers! We have a terrific 3yo DD traveler ourselves. We've taken two car trips to WDW and coming back we always drive straight through and DD does very well!

Hi,
Did you stop on the way down? If so, where (state/hotel), and how long did it take to get to the hotel.

Thanks,
Mark

We left at 4am and drove straight through! The kids slept alot and we made it to WDW at 9pm. We stopped for gas, food, potty and to just stretch. We have a tv/dvd and DD watched a couple of movies. She really didn't use any of the stuff I packed in her goody bag, like coloring books and stuff.

We have done the drive 6 other times and this way worked for us the best. We had no plans for a hotel on the way down, just played it by ear. We ended up staying at ASSMo for $86 for the night.

Did you hit a lot of construction? Any that you remember. We are driving Christmas night and looking at the same time frame from NJ.
Thanks

There was construction on I95. Some in Georgia and some in Fl. On I4 on the way home there was alot of contruction. In Georgia we didn't see anyone actually working!
Also we didn't take any of the diversions, like around DC. We just took I95 the whole way and weren't in any traffic.
Even though there is construction, it doesn't seem to slow anybody down! We saw the most cops pulling people over in Virginia and Florida.

Hey dis4me, what time you hittin the road? We are leaving Clayton at 3pm on 12/25

Desnik did you take 495 around DC? Is there something shorter?

We didn't take 495, just stood on I95. There was no traffic and if I'm not mistaken I think 495 takes you longer than just staying on 95. I say if it is a weekend, or middle of the day I would just stay on 95.
