Great week in DLP, now a family of Dream passports and feel very important around the parks! Loads of goodies and free fastpasses, a flick of the card gets free pushchairs, discounted food, souveniers and free parking - ace!
Car broke down on day 1 though, AA Europe got the car to a garage in Soissons, Came home yesterday (Day 8) and Car hadn't been touched, so hir car brought us home to Cornwall while car is still in Soissons?!!?? Very tricky to get parts apparently, I have to fly out to pick it up when work complete.
Parks are empty during the week and busy weekends as expected. The only wait last week was on Pirates of the carrabean - walked on the ride and sat in the boat at the end behind 5 or 6 empty ones waiting for them to be filled before we could get off!
DLP have for the first time apparently started selling 'Adult' costumes. Couldn't resist in Halloween land so I got the Jafar suit and big Gold thing. Very good suit but its obviously not the real thing. Anyway, the lovely shop cast member wanted me to wear it now so I obliged, Walked outside and couldn't move! Within the first hour I must of had about forty pictures with different adults and kids. I refused as many as possible and quite a few kids cried when I refused to sign the books, (I'm really not making this up!!! - I'll post the pics!) So after a few autographs and stacks of photos, security was around me like an FBI Seige! I was 'ushered' to city hall where I was asked where I bought the suit and why was I shattering childrens dreams!! They told me Jafar dosen't wear jeans and trainers, with Mickey hands (I was cold!) and that children would be confused. I can't speak french but I'm sure they thought I was one of those guys that stands outside the parks selling dodgy eiffel towers! Anyway, it turned out that they didn't realise that they had started the sale of these suits inside the parks, and the merchandise team hadn't planned on the other guests reaction to adults wearing the suits.
After an hour or so they realised what had happened and the next thing I know I was given the suit for free, signs are all over the place now stating NO ADULT COSTUMES IN THE PARK, I was put in the First Halloween Parade as VIP and the kids all given loads of free disney toys!
Happy ending but still no car!
