Just spent 10 days in an Executive suite at the Dolphin.... Club level and all... I was a bit disenchanted by some miss-information I recieved prior to my trip.
Club level lounge is NOT for all us Starwood preferred guests.... It is only for Platinum members, or club level rooms, unless you want to fork over $50 / day for some bagels and coffee.... you can use your accumulated points to pay, but there goes your free nights for a later trip !!! - 25,500 points to get 7 days worth of bagels coffee muffins and fruit... afternoons were some stale crackers, fruit and cheese.... it was not what I had expected!
There were no DATA ports in the rooms... it was an extra jack (RJ11 - for you computer people) on the side of the phone for you to access your own dia-up account... NOT a true Ethernet internet connection (RJ45)... I ended up losing almost 2 weeks of work I needed to do while I was there....
Our furniture (couch) was torn and tattered around the edges, the fold out mattress looked like it was 30 years old and we could not stomach using it.
Housekeeping was good, our service was excellent, the concierge staff was unbelievable... the hotel was beautiful!!! the shops really nice the resturants excellent.... but $$$$$....
Christan, Jose, Margarita, maria and the rest of the Concierge staff were SO helpfull... they were wonderful!!!!! Stephanie in Reservations did a fantastic job.....
I will continue with the Disney part of my experiense on my next post...
I am tired from a long trip... any questions fell free to ask !!!!
