Hi all,
Just back from a wonderful trip.

We did the dinner package for CP at Le Cellier for the 6:45 show on Dec. 1st with Ben Vereen. Great show. We really loved it.
Ben Vereen was great!

Dinner at Le Cellier was wonderful. I had the mushroom filet and dd had chicken nuggets. Her dessert was chocolate moose which came in the shape of a moose with maple leaf cookies for horns and berries for eyes and nose. She was quite thrilled with it.

We got in line for the CP at 6:15 and were still able to get a good seat. I think it is better to sit towards the back middle.
(Dinner package seating is the first half of the theater). They will not let you even get in line for the seating if you don't have your badges. They had one man wait until his family came with the badges and would not let him wait in line to save seats without them. Make sure you are in the right line. As you look at the theater, dinner package line is on the left side and regular seating is on the right side.

From the program:

Shout for Joy
O Come All Ye Faithful
Il Est Ne
O Holy Night
Angels from the Realms of Glory
Rejoice with Exceeding Great Joy
What Child Is This
Do You Hear What I hear
Silent Night
Joy to the World
The Hallilujah Chorus
Let There Be Peace on Earth

I would be happy to answer any questions.
Great Show!!!

So glad you had a great time! We are going to CP one week from today!! :bounce: We are also going to do the dinner package at Le Cellier - glad to hear how much you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the tips about what line to use, where to sit and about the badges!

How were the stand-by lines? I know you were on the opposite side, but could you tell if the line was long for people waiting to do the general seating? Was it filled to capacity? Glad you had a great time.

Oh thank-you. Some of those are my favorite songs!!!!

We leave in 24 hours :Pinkbounc . and are doing CP next Friday night. WE can't wait.

We've got the CP dinner package booked for next Friday (12/12), and it just now occurs to me that I don't know where I go to pick up the "badges", tickets, or whatever it is we need. Where do you pick them up?

Hey, fellow North Carolinian...Pretty much the same for us! We leave the Apex area after school gets out tomorrow and start the drive down. We're spending the night in Savannah, before continuing on Saturday morning. And considering the weather today, I think we picked a good time to skip town! :earsboy:

Hi,
We were able to pick up our badges and coupon for dinner when we checked in at CBR at guest services.

There was also a checkin area at the Epcot entrance that said Candlelight Processional Dinner Package. I remember seeing it right after you got off the bus and by the bathroom there.

If you are staying on Disney property, they probably have them at your resort. (We booked ours through Dreams Unlimited and my agent had told me to pick them up at the resort.)

I did notice that the standby line was very long for CP. I don't know what time people were lining up. You could actually watch the whole show with a good view and hear the whole program from the American Adventure building. We watched a little bit of it again the next night while we were there. There are little tables there that people were sitting at and watching.

The dinner portion seating was not filled to capacity when we were there, but the general seating was filled. There are several trees in the theater and some people were moving around so as not to be blocked by a tree. There really was NOT a bad seat in the house. I actualy think it was better to sit back a little further to see it all, and we could see it great from outside the theater.

Have a good time.

Donna

Good information and tips thanks's for sharing.Glad you had a great time.::yes:: :wave2:

We're leaving in the morning and will we be attending the CP on 12/8. I've read reports that in past years if you attended the CP that on the day of the show you received a discount at EPOCT stores. Is this the case this year?

Unfortunately there is no store discount this year.

The CP is free and you just need to stand in line early to get a seat, but if you want to do the dinner package, you can book it through disney dining.

With your dd's dinner, did she get a regular beverage with that, like a soda or a milk? I am sort of starting to obsess about my planning now, I guess! Glad you had such a great time. We are going on 12-24.

DD's meal included a regular beverage such as milk, juice, or soda and dessert.

My dinner included appetizer, soup OR salad, main entree, and dessert plus a regular beverage. Also, tax and gratuity.

It was nice, I didn't not even receive a bill at dinner. I had prepaid and he told us that was it, have a nice day.

We loved CP!!!!

OTOH, we wouldn't feel the need to pay for the dinner package the next time. There are 900 dinner packages sold per CP performance (were were told). The amphitheater (were were also told) holds 2000. No one who waited in either line had to stand. While we love eating at the Coral Reef restaurant, a 5:30 pm dinner almost didn't allow enough time to get to the 8:15 pm CP show. Hard to believe, but there was a small group of us running to the amphitheatre from FW!

But ignoring that, the show was wonderful! We had Andy Garcia as the narrator, we thought he did a really good job. I shot a roll and a half of film, I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out!

If that (Candlelight Processional) doesn't get you in the Christmas Spirit, I'd guess nothing would!!!!

DS5's meal at the Coral Reef did include a drink (I think he had milk?). We had a few extra drinks, including the glowing ice cube soda for DS5, that was extra and we got a bill just for the extras.

The package pickup at Epcot is outside the gates before you enter. Look for a sign. The office we went to was probably 1000' to the right of the gates. Difficult to find. I missed the sign and had to exit the park and reenter.

CP is the one show I refuse to miss when we go! Your post has made me even more excited! Is the audience covered, or can the show me "rained out"? My itinerary is somewhat flexible, but I want to make sure that Steven Curtis Chapman is the narrarator when I see it. Thanks!!!!!

For the person who asked about standby lines:
They were not too bad. I thought it would be, so I got in line at 4:00. At 4:45 there was still a few seats left and people were just casually strolling in. The narrorator was Rita Moreno and she was awesome!!! She put so much feeling into everything she said, it was amazing. She was also thoroughly enjoying the music and was breaking it down during one of the songs. We got to see it on Walt's birthday and she even mentioned that also. We did almost get to see a fight tho. They were singing Oh Come All Ye Faithful, and the kids were starting to walk down and this woman stood up and started threatening the lady behind her. Not cool!!!!
