Just got back today from a visit at Coronado Springs visit from 8/28-9/3.

It was a wonderful resort.

We requested either 9A or 8A Cabanas. We got there early (8 am) and got room 8257. This was a 2nd floor corner room with two windows. Our kids could go down one staircase and get to the Dig Site.

We had no problems with checkin or delays.

Our room was ready at 8 am so we were ready to go even though checkin was earlier.

There wasn't a long walk to the lobby (over the bridge), but it wasnt far. We did not do mugs though because we had sodas/water bottles in the room.

We were able to get two golf cart rides to the lobby. The park busses were fabulous. We were very near bus stop 4. Most times we had a private bus ride to the park. Even after Wishes and Fantasmic, we always had a seat for the bus. We never stood. The longest time we ever waited for a bus was 14 minutes from Animal Kingdom to Coronado. The average wait time was about 3-8 minutes.

The main pool was fantastic. Our kids loved the slide, and I actually went down as well. The hot tub was nice but a tad crowded!

Housekeeping was great, and had no problems. Our rooms were done by early afternoon and sometimes earlier. There were two towel animals in the room and somedays our kids stuffed animals were rearranged in a funny way.

We ate at Pepper Market a few times and had no problems with the meal plan.

We also used the conceirge desk with some dining reservations (rearranging existing reservations).

Our family has previously stayed at Wilderness Lodge, Pop Century and All Star Sports. My son decided that this hotel (coronado) was his absoluete favorite.

We would go back to Coronado.

Thanks for posting your review. We are considering staying there on our next trip. It sounds like you had a great trip.

Thanks, we are staying there Oct 7-9 and I requested Cabanas and we have paid for water view, so I am hopeful! Thanks for the great report!

Glad to hear you had a nice stay. We will be there next Saturday, 9-10 for two nights. Can't wait, it's our first time staying there.

Thanks for the great report. We are staying there for the first time in a couple of weeks. Did you book a waterview room? I booked standard but I am wondering if I should change to waterview to be able to get into the Cabanas.

I just booked a standard room, non waterview. I did not get a waterview, but was very very close to the main pool. In fact, I could see a glimpse of the jaguar and the slide, and could hear my kids.

We were right near a stairwell.

Thanks for the report and location info. We are going in Dec, and I am still considering which building to stay - 9 or 8. With your info, I am leaning toward 8.

Just a reminder that cabana 9a is smoking optional.

If I can ask a quick question....

How do you request a certain building or section? Do you just call and have them put it on your reservation? So the person who assigns rooms must look at that.

Thanks :)

That is why I changed my specific request to either 8A or 9b. When I got there all 9b non waterviews were gone (at least that is what they told me) and they gave my 8a. I told them when I was waiting that it didn't need to be first floor or anything like that, so we got second floor.

Glad you had a good time! By the way, how long were the rides wait times? Did it seem crowded to you or not?

Have your requests put on your ressie when you book or call back and have them noted.
