Just back from a 6 night stay at the Contemporary Resort Tower. It was DH, myself, DS(7), DD(2) and D-Grandma.
We arrived at the resort around 11:30am, our room was not ready, so we got something to eat at the Food and Fun Center, and walked around. At 1:30pm, we went back, our room was ready. All our requests were granted, we were placed in 4746, 11th floor, MK view, non-smoking. 3rd from the end closest to the MK.
The room was clean and in good shape, just a little mold in the bathroom , no big deal. The View was to die for. DS was in heaven. Everyone was right though. The traffic on the street below did get a little noisy at times during the night. And they tested the MK train whistle every morning at 6-7am. No noise from Chef Mickeys,,since we were on the other side. The renovations are still on the 9th floor, no noise from that either. The only noise was from a family who checked in our last night there. Baby screaming twice during the night, and it took forever for them to quiet him. It sounded like they were in our room.
It was my DD's birthday while we were there. And even though I confirmed when they would deliver the balloons, it wasn't done then. Not even on her birthday. Not a big deal, since she's only 2, but may be for an older child.
My only complaint is the pool. They really need to redo it. DS was bored in 15 minutes. All in all we really liked this place. The view and convenience are second to none. I was really nervous about staying here, but the whole experience was great. You really feel like its a magical vacation, when you can look out over your balcony and see Space Mountain and the Castle just feet away from you. Any questions, ask away.
