Here's where we ate - I'll keep comments minimal. Ask questions.
Had baby in tow, so we ate fast food A LOT and opted for convenience most nights.
Fri arrival - late lunch at Dolphin Fountain - great service, good burger, fries, milkshake, OVERPRICED, even for Disney.
drinks on Boardwalk - Spoodle's to go - great sangria.
dinner - Kimono's take out. Smoked salmon was awesome. Other stuff not great, but very good.
Sat - lunch at El Pirata y El Perico - menu has been reduced to tacos, taco salad, empanadas and maybe 1 other item. Decent, fast, similar to Taco Bell. Closed later in the week.
dinner - tried to eat at Big River Grill. Walked up around 5:30. After 20 min at table with no waiter even in sight, we moved to Spoodle's To Go and Boardwalk kiosk. - decent pizza. Good sangria. Corndogs yummy as usual. Much more relaxed than Big River. We were happy.
Sun - lunch - snacked at the Chicken shop in Asia at AK - good pot stickers. McD's fries just ok.
dinner - Called at 4 pm for ADR at Rose and Crown - Disney Dining said they were full. Walked up at the desk at 5:45, seated by 6pm front and center on the outside patio. VERY windy and chilly night. This was well heated and tented. Raised the tenting for fireworks. It was a busy weekend and our server had no problem with us sitting there eating and drinking until 9 for fireworks. Best surprise food of the week since it was unplanned. Cottage pie was the best. DS had fish n chips (decent). DH had bangers and mash -ate it all. Everyone had lots of beer and loved it. Apple pie was superb. Also good potato soup, good mushroom appetizer. Lamb and barley soup was to die for.
Mon - lunch on the go - pizza near Test Track - personal sized, decent. Not great.
Dinner - Boardwalk to go - corn dogs, onion rings, beer, and fries. Very good. Also Ice cream - very yummy.
Tues - lunch at Columbia Harbor House - DD hates mac n cheese! Go figure. Served with applesauce, not grapes. Cute Mickey ear goldfish. Clam chowder not as good as expected.
Dinner - Biergarten - 1st time here for dinner. Very crowded; ADR a MUST at 6:55. Entertainment much louder, but so fun for Fat Tuesday. Buffet selections more varied than before. Loved the saurbraten, bratwurst, beef, pork tenderloin was fab, great cold salad with spelt, yummy potato salad, spaetzle, cucumber salad, raisins and carrot salad, desserts good, not great. Enjoyed the wine, but pricey at $9 a glass.
Wed - lunch at ABC Commissary - fish n fries - not good. quick and not crowded at noon.
Dinnner - California Grill - Late ressie at 9:30 for 5 adults. Bill came to $400 and should have been much more (1 cocktail each, 2 glasses of wine each, sushi or flatbread, first course, main course and dessert each). Server was Ron and he took his time and really was helpful explaining the food, bringing samples, giving us extras on the food and wine. Can't say enough wonderful things here. Not our first experience, but stellar once again. Sushi was very good. Great ahi tuna, Yushi's platter, and special spicy roll (tuna and scallop?). Mushroom flatbread was phenomenal, as was the lobster and mushroom soup. Pork tenderloin was great. DH's duck 3 ways was incredible. Dessert - chocolate cake and apple tart both extremely good. DF's goat cheesecake was superb.
We closed the restaurant, and weren't rushed out. 5 stars!!!!
Thurs - lunch at Cosmic Ray's - decent. Caesar salad with chicken is HUGE!
Dinner - Columbia Harbor House - Something has happened here. Disappointed again. Fish and fries as good as remembered, but portions have shrunk considerably.
Fri - Farewell breakfast at Kona Cafe - No ADR, seated immediately at 10 ish. Tonga toast all around. Prompt service, very good food. Kona blend coffee not as good as the press pot. Service very good.
