First stay at this resort this past week and it was so enjoyable. As others have said this is a big place but I expected that going into it. Requested a room through touring plans...2209. Ended up getting 2306 in the next building which was also a low floor and right near the bus and not a bad walk to OPR. This is the second time I have used TP and got not the exact room but one as close to it as possible with all the other requests being met, so I will keep using them. I checked in online and my room was not ready when we arrived at 1pm....but was ready by three. I stopped at the online check in desk and the cast member was very pleasant and cheery.
As far as the room goes....we had one with a pull down because we had five people. 3 adults and 2 16 year olds. My 16 yr old who is 5'4" and my 21 yr old who is about 5'3" took turns sleeping on it. Length wise they were fine. My older daughter who is bigger than my younger said it was a bit uncomfortable for her sleeping wise, but it was fine for the younger one. Anyone over 5'4" would have an issue i think. The queen beds were great. So comfortable and I slept great every night I was there. No aches or pains in the morning.
Room service: The room was cleaned adequately, but I did have a few issues. Once they didn't leave toilet paper and the other time only 2 towels. Not sure what happened there, but it was taken care of right away.
As far as the resort itself goes....loved pretty much everything about it. After the Polynesian, this is my new favorite over POR and CSR. The atmosphere here was peaceful and pretty. It was so nice sitting on the beach at night or lying in a hammock. Very relaxing. We spent a good amount of time at the main pool. We were able to see the fireworks from Illuminations while in the pool (the high ones of course) and right after that the fireworks from MGM also. Although you don't get a full view, it is fun to watch from the pool. The food court was pretty good and I liked the theming here much better than POR but not quite as much as CSR. I will also say that the soda stations here were much cleaner and well stocked than our last visit to POR, which they were very sticky all the time and the machines never had ice. These were kept up very well every time I was down there.
In regards to the busses, I was nervous at first because the first night we were there we waited almost 30 min for a Disney Springs bus and the next morning we had to wait some time for AK bus. We found out later that the AK bus was diverted because of the half-marathon. After that the busses were regular and we didn't have to wait very long each day. Martinique was one of the first pick ups so we did have a bit longer on the bus in the morning because they had to make a few other stops. We planned for this in our timing so not an issue.
So while I enjoyed the other two mods we have stayed at very much, this will be the one I will stay at again without question. I just liked the overall atmosphere so much. I will be happy to answer any questions if anyone has any.
