We just returned form 8 nights in Orlando and BWV. Awesome vacation.

Never saw anyone get a YOMD prize. My 10 year old was really excited about this possibility. I hear alot of people tell their stories but nothing from us.

BWV was a little disapointing. We were in 1127 and liked being on the first floor with a quick walk to MGM and the bus stop, but the room had a really strong smoke smell even though we were assured it was NS. Could not move so we just endured. My 8 year old walked around with his shirt over his nose for the first two days.

We really thought that BWV was supposed to be one of the nicest, but we liked OKW so much more. Our room was in need of paint and carpet. We had a coffee maker that leaked everyday. Not a big deal, but it was kind of annoying.

Loved the boardwalk at night with the entertainment. .

All that and we wish we were still there!

We just got back last night, too and also stayed 8 nights. Had a wonderful time and will do a short trip report soon.

Sorry about your room - if that ever happens again, ask to have the room "de-smoked". They have some type of machine that will remove the odor. Not sure the machine works for those who have severe allergies or asthma, but if you could stand the odor for a couple of days, it should work just fine for you. Boo to the guests who smoked in a non-smoking room! (AFAIK, the only smoking rooms at the BWV are on the second floor and not all 2nd flr rooms are smoking).

Sorry about the coffee maker - did you request another one? If not, remember that you can do that if it ever happens again.

Our SV 1 bedroom on the second floor room was in good condition and smoke free (as the OP's room should have been). Had the new sleeper sofa which was much easier to open and close than the old style. I did open and close it, even though we didn't need it for sleeping. Thought it neat to see the pillows were stored right in the unit!

The pillowtop mattress in the master was very comfortable!

Wish we were still there, too, but glad to be home. Lots to do before Christmas.

If you go again, ask for top floors. Have stayed at BW 8 times with board walk view and never a problem with anything. I like all the resorts at disney but you can't get much better then the view over the board walk. At night all the lights from across the lake and all the action on the board walk is great. I own at SSR & OKW, but stay at BW most of the time. I save OKW for the large family outings for the size.

Carol is right. I should have been more proactive and asked to have the room de-smoked. They came and sprayed some chemicals in the vents but it just hid the problem for a short time. As for the coffee maker, I should have requested another...but didn't.

We did enjoy the new fold out beds too. My daughter said she would rather sleep in it than the real bed. I liked the way that the cushions were attached and not laying all over the room, as they usually end up with my family.

Next time we will ask for a higher floor. My wife has a fear of my three year old and any balcony so maybe when we return Lily will be old enough that she won't worry.

I am sitting here wishing I could have another one of those funnel cakes!

You should have demanded morebe done about the smell. We are going on Friday if I get a rm that smells they will hear from us. Glad you had a good vacation otherwise.
