Just got back from BWV. It was DW, DS31, DD25 and myself. We were in a 2BR unit right on the boardwalk. When I say that I mean that. It was on the first floor with nothing separating us from the boardwalk except for about 10 feet of plants. We had a very large patio. Our unit was what used to be part of the BWV DVC sales center. In fact, I think our unit was where we received our initial sales presentation.
What can I say about last week - it was hot and crowded but we still had a great time. This was first time DS had been to WDW in probably 10 years or so and there was alot of new stuff for him to see. He loved Animal Kingdom. We got to see and do most of what we wanted but was disappointed our Fantasmic show was cancelled right at the last minute because of possible storms (which never happened). This was especially disappointing since we had done the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood and Vine. It was a good meal, but we wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for Fantasmic. There was a lot of booing and disappointed people when they cancelled the show.
The only other strange thing was that on Thursday morning in the AK parking lot there was a WDW bus that had been rammed into a light pole. The front of the bus was a mangled mess. It was strange, the pole was just out in the middle of an empty parking lot. No other cars around or nothing. Just this bus with the front end rammed up into the light pole. I can't imagine how this happened.
Food wise we ate at Boma, China, Morrocco, Le Cellier, Hollywood Vine, Wolfgangs, ESPN, Earl of Sandwich plus others I can't remember. They were all very good but our favorites were China and Morrocco.
Well that's about it. I'm glad we had the chance to go down with DS and DD. We all had a great time. This will be our last time probably as a group for a while. DW and myself are both now retired and will be doing our own thing from now on. DD starts teaching fourth grade next month, so will be tied to summer vacations only. Next DVC trips are a week at HHI next June and a week at OKW September.
